On SEN this morning, King and Cornes have mentioned that they've heard a whisper that FOS might have an injury to his jaw. Tom Morris (I think it was) just said that he's contacted two people to check if that's correct but they haven't heard anything and he is waiting on a third person to get back to him. I hope it's not true.

Texter said FOS is going in for surgery tomorrow on his jaw due to the Hayward hit. The club is fuming.

Let's see, if true, if the AFL does anything about it. It seems the AFL makes a lot of noise about protecting the head, but when three of our players were concussed last year by deliberate actions of opponents, there was no case to answer.

In this case Hayward chose to bump, made late and high contact, which appears to have had a high impact. Should be 3 weeks.

So twice in two weeks our player was taken high and with a level of force that 1)drew blood or 2) potentially broke their jaw and yet neither opposition player was cited for it.

Head is sacrosanct…..

At the least the banner at the top of this thread cheers me up for 1 second whilst the page reloads waiting for updates.
