What should I do this week for cash gen and upgrades

Thinking of holding Blakiston to move him to R3 next week so I can redistribute the English cash elsewhere as I have Grundy and McAndrew.

Sellwood > Farrow
Lombard > Rachele

Was going to go Gawn, but he's the most expensive and Melb vs Ess is a red matchup for both rucks. No ruck has gone well against Essendon this year. Not sure if that's because there's not as many stoppages or what because Blakiston is not a great ruck. They also might be bringing Bryan back in. Not a lot of data on how players go against him.

Then there's Grundy, who has GC which is a tough matchup. Looking at his previous scores against GC, he's scored a 54 and a 142.

Then there's Jackson who is a 90s guy.

I'll probably need the cash as I have nothing left in the bank and my team is terrible, so will have to go Grundy or Jackson.

Doing surprisingly well this year. Ranked in the top 2K! Normally I’m sitting top 20k! Still copped Petracca/xerri/Rozee/Gulden, but my sideward trades have been relatively solid (Rachelle, Gawn, Daicos, Serong)

Just looking at value at the moment. Mckercher/Roberts/Newman. All have their pros and cons. So likely come to a selection towards ends of this week.

Holding Caldwell reluctantly, at least the tog was up. Next week want to double downgrade and hoard money for upgrade season.

Both Grundy and Gawn have nice runs. Before this week Grundy was averaging 80dt so idk, just gona grab Gawn.

Ess reverted to damage control game style so will grab Farrow. Blakiston is going to lose money/red dot the moment Bryan is in

I wouldn’t stress too much about missing Farrow. He’s $415k so it’s not like he’s rookie priced.

Hypothetically, if he puts out another 80+ score this week then he’ll still be value and you could trade Windsor or someone else to him.

If he doesn’t, then at his current price he’s probably not a guy you’d bother with anyway.

If instead you can get some rookies off field and more premos in I think that’s a good play.

I’m thinking he could be an easy upgrade to Trac by the time he returns.

Probably can’t make a move based on trades in a few weeks with the way this season has gone though.

I’m deeply interested. Sub 700, low BE, plays Essendon this week. Does he hold his mid role longer term?

We are on the cusp of upgrade season. Next week I believe will be the last week before we can get into real one-ups, one-downs (assuming the injuries stop, if ever). After originally planning on binning Windsor, his Essendon match-up has enticed me to hold him one more week. Which means next week I'm shaping up to move on two mid-pricers, likely Windsor and Bruhn for Naicos and a rookie.

Then after that, it will be time to start looking at the likes of: Jaques (~640k), Grjl (~610k), Cook (~600k), Blamires (~520k), Lombard (~450k) as potential trade out options. It will likely still require cash to go up to a real big dog, but trading out 6 of these rookies over 3 weeks should allow you to bring in two major upgrades across those weeks, maybe three if you target upgrades of cheaper players in the FWD or DEF lines. It's all starting to come together.

Despite all the chaos I'm relatively happy with my team (Moved up 29,000 ranks this week). Freaked out with the Daicos news last Thursday and traded him, now I'm thinking of Butters out to bring him back in and swapping English to Grundy.

Smart move is probably to keep Butters and swap Blakiston to Farrow then bank some cash to upgrade X.Lindsay to a premo next week but I am honestly not confident in Butters with the tags coming up.

The only thing I’m concerned with Sanders is that he is quite handball dominate (24 handballs and 10 kicks on the weekend).

Could easily mean a 25 disposal game is a 60-70.

I suspect you would know more about Sanders role, but as someone who has had him in a Keeper League since he was drafted, I cannot trust Bevo to play him in a role conducive to Fantasy. With Liberatore, and even potentially Treloar (what's happening with him) to come back, I would be very nervous about Sanders week to week.

Murphy Reid interestingly has what is likely the most set and confirmed role - half forward with the ability to move up to the stoppage around the ground. Rachele, despite being in my side at the moment, I still have concerns that he eventually reduced his midfield clock - but Rankine is playing so badly at the moment that is not an immediate concern - but could rear its head.

I’m one of his big fans. Works hard to get back off the wing the commentators think he’s at half back.
