Bit of a shame really cause their 19s team would’ve been 1/2 decent, instead you have 15 or so most weeks propping up their reserves team as they didn’t have numbers. I wonder how many will leave now and seek to play u19s only at another club?
Agree. I'm sure the likes of Cheltenham, Bentleigh, Highett's U19s have all sounded out some of the East Brighton 19s. In saying that EB 2s are 2-0 at the moment so they're doing okay! EB will struggle mid season when injuries pile up and these young kids are having to go up to 1s when they probably aren't ready.

One of the players got a knock to his neck in the third quarter but also had pain down his spine. Couldn't be moved off the ground untill the ambulance arrived. By the time he was taken to hospital there was not enough time to restart the game. He is OK now by the way.

Yes will most likely drop down to D3 for the first time in their history. It’s a long way back from there. However there is a beacon of hope there. Have blooded 17 first gamers to the club in the opening 3 games and most of these are under 20 years of age. The tide will turn and it’s good to see them play local junior kids, rather than the mercenaries of the last couple Peninsula All Star years….vastly different and a step in the right direction!
