Sydney are a good side at setting up and yeah he made a few mistakes. Not sure why we focus on his.

Who didn't make a mistake or four. Dinkers has 3 open options as he waddled into our fwd fifty and managed to find a Sydney player all by himself.

Larkey near got knocked out by a breeze from a defenders hand as it passed his head.

A few others you could ban first .......

..... and some want Caleb Daniel kicking inside 50. LOL.

This is all good but doesn't really account for what happens post the I50, is it a score, a ball-up or a turnover?

I50s are alright, what about expected score from where that field kick took place? Is that sort of detail asking too much, I feel it probably is haha

It is. The player we should be most worried about is LDU. He kicks it inside 50 way more than everyone else and is just about the worst at it.

This. Was waiting like a coward for someone to say it as I didn't want to shoot Bambi.

But, it's a hideous stat.

But to be fair it would be going in far less with more i50s and scoring opportunities to the opposition

If we land Wilson, Jy is goneski. Make it happen Euge

I suspect if we land Wilson, its Powell who could be in trouble. If he isn't already.

Jy and Darcy Wilson are both good wingers who can play forward too.

And Jy's time as a more defensive inside mid this year has been more than fine.

Playing three positions well is enough versatility to ensure he's got a best 23 spot unless he has a massive performance slump imo.

Dylan Stephens is our other winger. Not Jy

My point is that there is conceivably a full time position in job sharing with Stephens, Spargo and Simpkin. Roles that Powell hasn’t been great at.

We do just need more elite runners too.

I think Jy will be around for the duration in his current role. Apart from the West Coast game, he’s been very good this year. As an avowed Simpkin skeptic the last couple of years I think it’s fantastic to see him now performing. The defensive lockdowns and general defensive running the highlight. He’s for the most part actually kicking and handballing effectively too.
His epic turnovers of recent years are far less frequent and he now appears to actually look guilty about them (eg. the 3rd quarter hand pass at half back on Saturday). Last year it looked like he just didn’t care.
