    The Nightly

Has any body here ventured into the new world of the Stokes Empire called The Nightly yet? I have checked it out, and made comment on some articles, but , as per usual , the editing of peoples posts is very harsh, especially if anti Right wing. I have had a many posts rejected.

    7:30.. a LNP weakness.

After watching the programme, 7:30, the other night where Sarah Ferguson grilled the Liberal Ted O'Brien, it makes me wonder if the LNP will make it a no go zone for them. He , like Dutton did in his interviews recently was constantly under pressure and tried to baffle Sarah with bull s**t and...

    Oliver Twist, Freo version.

Are we doing an Oliver Twist in asking for more for next seaso? More home games. Well one extra home game. It seems we have joined with the Evils, or they have joined with us, in the request. I am not sure they are ready to accept that travel is a real burden on the two WA clubs just yet. As...

    Coach Re Freddy

Please can a coach from the Dockers teach Michael Frederick to leap for marks off one foot rather than a vertical leap with both feet together. It is a basic part of the game. If you jump vertically, you give your opponent more space to punch the ball away from your hands.Your hands do not reach...

    Roast And with four umpires.

Fancy this having to come to the fore from a Victorian . Now please don't think I am blaming our last, or any previous performances, or non performances, on the umpires by posting this. I am not that stupid. But these "handballs", have in the past been referred to by Victorian football critics...

Rumour A scandal if it happens.

Surely it is just a media bullsheeit write up, but Josh Frydenberg to take over from McLachlan as head of the AFL. o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O:poo::poo::poo:.

    List Mgmt. Mid season Draft

With the mid season draft this Wednesday will the club look at senior level players from the WAFL like Schlensog or players of that ilk. I am of the opinion that they will look at younger players maybe from the WAFL, but not necessarily there. I think the club will follow the youth policy.

    Tassie

Not sure if there is a post about this but... Can the AFL afford to be introducing a 19th team into the competition in the next few years. To me, we are fielding too many kids into our competition already. Some will never make it. Never were going to make it. The AFL killed off all second tier...

    Sad passings.

I am not sure just where to post this, that is if the admin will post it. What a sad week or so it has been for Australian sport. First the passing of legendary middle distance runner John Landy. One of the best ever mile or 1500 metre runners. Led all the way except at the finish, in a race...

    Welcome Karl Worner

With the borders being kept closed for some time, I wonder what the fate of our Victorian recruit Karl Worner will be. It does not look like he will be allowed in in the near future. I wonder what his fate is for the future.

It may not be the right time to post this article, but it disturbs me that the ABC should include the last couple of sentences in the article. I find it totally disrespectful to the FFC. Just my views. Any one else...

Rain/loss of overs. Slow play/ loss of overs.

I read an article this morning where Patty Cummins was asking for way around getting more overs in due to rain breaks. A great idea Patty. But what about the rest of the time as well. With the fast draining grounds that we have as test venues now days, there should be no reason why players from...

Test Root V Anderson and Broad.

I feel sorry for Joe Root as he has no control over the inside workings of the English team. The workings of the team are run by Anderson and Broad. They hold the reins. A similar thing happened in the Kim Hughes era of Australian cricket. Hughes was named Captain, but with the likes of Lillee...

    Percy Johnson.

Very sad to hear of the passing of a WA football legend ,Percy Johnson, this morning. Percy was a player for Old Easts, as East Fremantle were called back then. He played 180 games for Est Fremantle. Moved to Swans and played 21 games. Left Swans and moved to Claremont and played 27 there. He...

    Watson and Barlow on Fyfe.

Tim Watson raised the issue of the Fyfe injury and his ability to keep the captaincy earlier in the week. He raised it by saying there was no way Fyfe could continue with his lack of preparation. I am sure Fyfe will once again be elected, by the players as skipper. With maybe a co skipper in...

    Society/Culture Crown

It seems, just like the banking Royal Commission, that many will walk free from the enquiry into Crown. A huge operation that it is., there are those in the company that must have known what was going on. To say they didn't know, would be like saying it doesn't rain in the winter. Having a...

    Politics But how serious?

"The Prime Minister is taking this very seriously"'. Wow, how comforting is that to know. About time he took something serious. Could it have anything to do with losing his one seat majority. It would have to be because he certainly has not taken the Corona vaccine seriously. Mr Porter is hiding...

Did anyone see the bumbling fumbling Joe Bjelke Peterson clone on 7;30 last night. What an embarrasment to think he was once our PM. Discussion Trash talking before bouts.

Why oh why do we have to have so much trash talk before fights. If the fight is a clash that will draw crowds or make the public want to watch it, then there should be no need for trash talk. Umpiring... not just Fremantle games.

I watch a lot of football. Most games in fact.It makes my blood boil watching the games and seeing the umpiring week in and week out.It seems the rules of the game rest on the individual umpires, nothing set in stone, not even in sand. The resultant free kick, or non free kick relies on the lone...

It appears that Pearce, Cerra and Switkowski will be taken from the injury list weekend. I wouldn't think that either Pearce or Switkowski would play on the weekend, but I have a feeling that Cerra will travel to play. With no WAFL this week, I am led to believe, due to a State game, then it...
