Good comment. There were eras when either country would have dominated. Myself, being a fan of the new romantic era, would have to pick the UK. By the mid-eighties, however, the quality of pop music coming out of Oz was better than anything from overseas, I reckon.

Another one: Bauhaus - Ziggy Stardust Done much in the same vein as Bowie's original version. I still rate Bowie's as better, but Bauhaus' version is not bad at all.
