less flooded, higher scoring (of course this doesnt mean better but), harder. if anything it missed a brawl/punch on but still thousand times better then last year

But in all seriousness, god it was a bloody nailbiter. If you wanted soccer/rugby fans etc to convert to AFL, youd show them that game. Unbelievable stuff from both sides. Got the upmost respect from Sydney, they r a great team and when the game could have become a boring trashing, they fought back. 06 definately better than 05

They may have both been close, but that's where the similarities end.

As someone who doesn't support either side, my opinion is that last year was everything that was wrong with the game on display, this year everything that was right. Definitely one that can be used to highlight to those that aren't yet Aussie rules fans why they should be.

The biggest lead in the 05 gf was 19 points, the biggest lead in the 06 gf was 31 points. The 05 gf was closer and that is why it is better.

Both were great less than a goal games, but I can't go past a 06. The 1 point victory was tense in the entire last quarter and either team could have won it.
