1/2 Cat

Can anyone tell me what has happened to 1/2 Cat's head?

In recent years his head has totally changed and his much loved floppy jaw now seems wired shut.

What is going on with our mascot?

It was changed a few years ago to give a more "tough" look or something.

I was speaking to the guy who does half cat and he said he's done a bit of damage to other mascots in his time. I believe he accidently broke someone's jaw once and dislocated the shoulder of a girl who was in the kangaroo suit. Or it might have been the other way around...dislocated jaw and broken collarbone.

That was in the day when the mascots were allowed to belt the **** out of each other. The AFL soon put a stop to that.

I liked the old 1/2 Cat head, it was my belief that they changed it to suit the look of the new cat logo. The old 1/2 Cat head was that of our old logo, I thought they changed it to be the same as the new "feral" cat logo. I may be wrong though.

Why not use both? Some clubs run around with several mascots before the game.

No, use both the mascots. There are two different suits. There is no reason why they both can't be on the ground at the same time.

Ther Kangaroo mascot was flashing "brown-eyes" on sunday.1/2 cat did that a few years ago and got told off by the AFL.

The cat does not wipe his arse on opposition scarves any more.

I miss that.

BTW, I believe it's half cat's 450th game this weekend. Let's hope the boys do it for him.

He did it against the Western Bulldogs a couple of weeks ago.

OK, it was a small Bulldogs supporter's flag-- but it was practically the same action.
