Would effectively require Maj to walk on us.

Would only happen if he was extremely unhappy with the club IMO and theres nothing to indicate that he is at the minute.
GWS would need to finish last. If the Dees finish last there will be no-one who are going to risk being taken by them.

My old man (thankfully) brainwashed me many years ago.Now I reap the benefits of seeing the Majtastic man in full flight.

I have 7 on my jumper now. 38 will be next.

It was for your own good, mentally and physically. Mentally because we would never have spoken to each other again and physically because I would have belted the living suitcase out of you if you chose another team.

Now we get to share the experience, so much better.

That's what I like to hear - some father son love. Back in my day we just got relegated to the shed outside and fed stale bread and whatever was left in the lawn mower.

Bullshit.

If he's offered 700k a year by GWS he'll definately leave.

No he won't.

Anyone who has seen Majak and his family/extended family around the club knows that Maj isn't going anywhere. He's very involved with the Huddle, his family is really involved and regulars down at the club, and the Melbourne Sudanese community are as well.

When my kids have strayed or lost interest in following north Melbourne, i always come back at them that i will buy them a bummers membership.
Quite a few members of my family go for the bummers, so it's bit of a war.
That sends them into a rage of hatred and say please take me to the footy to watch the mighty Kangas .

There is simply no quicker way to evoke a visceral response from my 10 year old than to suggest he is a *Bummers supporter.

At Easter in Coles I suggested to him that I would buy him a *Scum egg because in knew that was the team he really went for. After the initial growl of anger at the suggestion he comes out with " I am not a disgrace to the family Dad".

I love his hate.

The next cab off the rank is DawOfDomination.

He needs to do a bit more dominating before that change though.

Could keep the naysayer's happy in the meantime and go with DawOfOverpromotion.

Heh, growing up I would always be asking "Dad, who's that?" "That's Byron Pickett son, absolute wrecking ball, tough as guts" "Oh. Who's that one?" "That's Mick Martyn. Scary lookin' fella isn't he?"

Now, it's "Who's that son?" "Will Sierakowski dad, used to be on Hawthorn's list" "oh right. Who's number 26 again?" "Taylor Hine, got him from the Suns".

Good story, good on Majak.

Jesus. How old were you when you had your first?

When watching the Swans game a few weeks ago, my daughter suggested she liked North and the Swans. I told her what I was told by my father in the seventies. "If you want to follow another team you can sleep outside with the dog". I did make a small concession, however, as she still liked north she could spend half the night in her bed and the other half outside with the dog. Now that's compassion for your children!

Hopefully he has a few sons so we can have DawOfReproduction and DawTheNextGeneration

Lucky *Essendon didn't get him

He wouldn't be able to fit in a car, door, plane etc with their "assistance"

Expecting our first Little O later this year and the wife (a saints supporter) has already started buying saints baby clothes. As we are heading to the big smoke to watch round 10 against the saints, she has suggested that whoever wins that is who our child will go for. Round 10 is our Grand Final in my eyes!

Divorce and sole custody in case of a loss.

Just remember Bigeasy to stay true to the cause, because I'm tipping one day Lileasy will grow big enough to do the suitcase job on your good self.

Im ok with him also liking the magpies... however if he dare start supporting the Blues or the Bombers i will personally force him to sit through every Wayne Carey game in which he put on a clinic against those pretenders...

Disclaimer. i in no way shape or form intend to do any of what i have mentioned above

I'm not too sure about being okay with liking the pies.

But I would be very happy to sit through the Wayne Carey clinics. Not a problem with that.

Majak is a blessing to North.

Walking out of school with my little guy yesterday and a couple of kids walk past and ask if my son will be watching Majak and Natanui tomorrow night. A few weeks earlier they couldn't care less if Majak or Wayne Carey for that matter made a return to beat the suitcase out of West Coast like the good old days.

All the talk has been Majak this Majak that, regardless of how he actually plays it gets kids interested in our club, and after fighting the battle with my son for his football alliances with North and GWS of all clubs this might just be the kicker to get him to stay on board.

The other fact is he only really knows one GWS player and that is $cully. Scullys Grandma wouldn't even follow GWS. :D

That's awesome Harry. By the way, we may have been neighbours of sorts some years ago as I didn't live far from Managatang going back a few years in a place called Piangil.
I played football for Manang for a couple of years, however never lived in the area, I travelled the 1.5 hours or more to play (sometimes train). I do travel to Chinkapook regularly to visit the in-laws.
