Well said by all, this bloke is an absolute gun and hard as a cats head.
Vlas and Grimesy have developed a great understanding where one or the other will peel off their opponent and be 3rd man up in the backline. Real heart and soul types who are hugely under rated outside of Richmond.

Yeah and it's not overly different this season, add Prestia, remove Miles. Add Lambert.

Add Caddy. Two extra guys to a midfield rotation can make a big difference. Just need to look at how many goals Dusty has scored this year in comparison to last year to see how much difference it can make.

How good has this guy been since coming back from injury.

Has been fantastic on the HB line with his contested marking and rebound. His fends have been Dustylicious too.

Love Flossy. Wins or halves every one on one contest I see him in. So poised with the ball and is very confident right now. Reads the ball so well too. I have to say all our backmen read the ball so well atm and have the confidence to back themselves to take a grab and take the opposition on. Makes them so hard to play on. Vlaustin's a better player back than he is in the middle.

Reminds me of Chris Johnson, without the speckies. Still very strong overhead though. Courageous, difficult to get passed, yet attacking when he has it, a brilliant kick. Don't think he's quite as agile as Johnson was, but I think they have similar traits. Pretty happy to be thinking along these lines about a Tiger, to be honest.

I love him. I don't see the need for him to move into the midfield anymore. He's a machine down back

Never was a need.
You don't take one of the best blokes at his position in the AFL and turn him into something he ain't!
And I said that all through pre-season.

He actually wasn't before the move, was pretty average imo and overrated by Richmond supporters. Whether the move helped him see the game differently or whether it's just coincidence, there is no doubt he is playing significantly better football since his return to the team then he ever has. Now he deserves all the kudos he gets bc now he is a ducking gun!

Just get the sense that this bloke could be a big presence in our finals this year. Has that cool head about him now that was missing in previous years; he just looks like he knows what he's doing. Jack Graham also has that coolness about him.

He'll move to midfield next year if he gets a solid enough preseason. All his football so far has been about building his physique and tank.

You don't play a bloke with a more complete set of the talents required to be an elite midfielder than any other player on our list at HBF simply because he's great there.

Of course he's awesome there, Paddy Dangerfield would be the best HBF the game has ever seen.

And completely wasted if he was played there.

But I will say it's refreshing to see us develop a mid in defence for a change, there's a reason it's a well established traditional apprenticeship.

Vlastuin is an elite decision maker, reads the flight of the ball better than nearly anyone else and has extreme composure, plus is extremely courageous. I'd say he can play there better than most mids. Remember when Bucks tried Pendles at half back, when Dimma tried Dusty? It's not an easy role.

Yeah cos he carved it up in the midfield
He's one of the best half backs in the league and there he will stay.
You need strength across all lines and he didn't cut it as a midfielder, nor do we need him to be one.
