I found the following quote from the above article to be particularly amusing:

Link

"I think you saw probably at the end of last year there was five or six blokes the club was trying to get on board right away and as soon as one jumped on board the rest were on board," Trengove said.

We all know who that "one" was don't we Jackson? ;)

that is great. imagine if a maggies player walked up next to him in that end shot, it would make it truly brilliant. but that is stuff we can look forward to in the future.

Port is playing it safe and keeping Trengove in his cage for at least 1 week:

Port Adelaide has ruled key defender Jackson Trengove out of this weekend’s season opener against St Kilda at AAMI Stadium.

Trengove suffered a finger injury in the opening quarter of the NAB Challenge game against Melbourne at AAMI Stadium on March 16. He was subbed out of the game before the club sought specialist medical assessment which revealed a small fracture.

Notes:
2012 for Jackson was a story of two halves. His first half of the season was excellent, making the best players in 6 of his first 8 matches. The second half of his season was poor. He injured a finger in the pre season which seemed to cause issues for him all season. This came to the fore in the second half of the year when his game, his confidence and his influence struggled. With a good pre season, we can expect to see Jackon back to his best and push new boundaries in 2013.

Trengove, along with Moore, Butcher and Carlile, have re-signed. Great to see that he signed so early on in the season rather than drag it out! Great signs for Port Adelaide!

25-year-old Carlile, who would have been eligible for free agency at season’s end, signed a four-year contract extension committing him to Port Adelaide until the end of 2017. 22-year-old Trengove and 21-year-olds Moore and Butcher have committed to two-year contract extensions, keeping them at Alberton to at least the end of 2015.

Review by TeeKray
Jackson had another injury interrupted season in 2015 and as a result was never quite able to produce the sort of football that had previously seen him as a dominant presence in our back half. He underwent shoulder surgery in January and sat out all of the trial matches but returned in time to take his place for our round one game. He then hurt his ankle in round 8 against Richmond and missed several games mid season before a shoulder reconstruction saw his year over with in round 20. Jacko will be hoping for a better run with his body in 2016 as each of his previous three seasons has been marred by injury problems.

Thanks for the photo's Power Pete. Hope you don't mind me plonking one here!

You beauty!

First of all, its fantastic to see my 2016 buddy running around without that bloody Pink Cap which signifies no body contact / light duties. Has been a long time coming this season.

Secondly, and as importantly, I'm loving what I see here. Jacko chasing the Imp, hard, getting ready...preparing to....seek...seek and destroy!
