yeah, I think soThird or final?
When they stop offering that or you can get something in return for themYes but when do you stop keeping players who can not stay on the park.
And what about if he’s not back in Melbourne before October 31st?
Jj just got told he’s delisted and he’s in America. Players know it’s coming they don’t need a face to face. They aren’t going to come all the way into the club just to have a 30 second meeting. Then you deal with that scenario when it comes up.
It's only October 21st.
Players are still human beings. You avoid firing people on a Friday or just before Christmas because that's a real campaignery thing to do.

The sooner the better chance of getting picked up as a delisted free agent. or in the PSD.Maybe JJ won't be back in time. Maybe their list manager is a shit bloke.
It literally costs nothing to wait to do it in person.
It's really not that hard not to be a campaigner when you're firing someone who's worked hard.
Fot a guy like Setterfield, not really. He's well established as a player and any team that thinks about taking him on will invite him to train. The sooner the better chance of getting picked up as a delisted free agent. or in the PSD.
A very practical decision. Setters as a rookie is good depth.Delisted, but potentially will be picked up as a rookie SSP.

Bombers make further list change
Club open to opportunity for delisted midfielder.www.essendonfc.com.au
im not sure if we are making the right calls or not from a list management perspective, but as they say"insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" so you cant fault them for actually shaking shit up for a change.Wild, wild timeline
He'll be really good for them for 10 games. If he goes to dogs and can stay on the park I reckon he compliments their midfield really well.
get him right for the last 10 games and he can be a Aug/Sep specialistHe'll be really good for them for 10 games.
At the Bombers, we call that 'holidays'get him right for the last 10 games and he can be a Aug/Sep specialist![]()
I reckon he would be fantastic at the cats alongside Holmes and Smith if he could get his body right. Whoever picks him up he won’t cost much so it would be worth the free hit for them.If he goes to dogs and can stay on the park I reckon he compliments their midfield really well.
Obviously our coaching staff have a better player in mind to negate the oppositions best midfielders influence and get 20 efficient disposals at the same time.
Caldwell i guess.
