When asked who has impressed him, first up Shezeel _ is very fit and is driving the standard.. How good is this.
Well KG there are 2 ways of looking at that comment and one of them is not all that good for the more experienced players who have been at training.

I think it is pretty obvious our senior players have let us down in driving training standards. Least fit and least skilled club in the comp.

I take the half full, he wants to be successful and is leading the way. I do agree the senior guys should be doing this.

Feels like this guy is a good chance to be the steal of the trade window. Total pro.

Only a short interview obvs, but I'm really liking the sound of Stephens between this interview and the shuttle run!
He speaks very well. Julian The Stoop seemed determined to make him admit that The Hub ruined his first 2 years in the AFL but credit to Dylan he wasn’t going to be bullied into admitting something that wasn’t true, said he actually enjoyed Hub life.

It's probably already been said, but just the fact that he's not running around on the postage stamp that is the SCG every second week can only be a positive for his primary attributes
SCG is a bigger ground than Docklands.

That's an illusion because they cleared all the foliage surrounding it.

Dylan Stephens – No.15

Having worn No.3 over his four seasons with the Sydney Swans, Stephens will settle in the mid-teens at Arden Street.

A hard-running wing from Mildura in Victoria’s far north-west, he will hope to become the first player to have worn the number in 100 games since Malcolm Blight, and the first to play in a premiership since Winston Abraham.

A Hall of Fame Legend, Blight took the number when he signed from South Australian club Woodville for the 1974 season. He went on to play in two premierships, win the Brownlow (1978) and Coleman (1982) medals, and lead the club’s goalkicking on four occasions.

High-flying forward Abraham wore No.15 from 1998 to 2001, having previously worn it over three seasons with Fremantle, and went on to win Mark of the Year in his first season as a Roo and a premiership in his second.

A fitting comparison could be Nick Dal Santo, who was similarly signed for his pace, stamina and kicking, and wore No.15 in North Melbourne’s runs to preliminary finals in 2014 and 2015.

The jumper was last worn by Daniel Howe, who retired in October after one season with the club and eight with Hawthorn.

Wouldn’t he be the first player to play 100 games in the No. 15 since Ross Smith?

At least they have stopped saying he is from SA.

Dylan Stephen’s highlights look good especially pre-draft. You can see why they picked him at 5 - great gut runner, has really good dash/stride and seems to be able to finish well.

Maybe he will just suit our team / coaches / gameplay better than the Swans? It would be great to have a win here.

Smart trading - not a lot of risk, and opportunity for reward. Good business. Perfect start to pre-season with him taking out a time trial. Good mindset, fit and ready to get into it.
Dare say the congested nature of the scg not ideal office space to display his running talent. I reckon he lands at Arden St at the right time in his career for he and us!
