Is one of those positive players that just makes things happen with ball in hand. Adding that strength to influence games in other ways now (big tackles, ability to take big marks, break through stoppages etc) is on show more.

Another pre season and games into him and we could see him go up a level or two. Great game again from Archie

Forward Archie Perkins will be unavailable for this week’s fixture as he continues to rehabilitate a calf injury.

Murphy said the 20-year-old is being carefully managed as the club continues to identify the appropriate recovery length for Perkins’ return.

“’Perko’s’ got a low-end calf strain at the moment,” Murphy said.

“Unfortunately, there was a little bit of tightness out of main training, and it’s shown up as a low-end calf strain.

“He’ll miss this week and we’ll see how he shapes up over the next week or two.”

Second-year forward Archie Perkins will be unavailable for this week’s clash due to a calf injury.

Murphy said Perkins will attempt to target a return for round 19.

“Perko’s’ back up and now, he’s going through his progressions in that rehab program,” he said.

“We won’t see him this week, but all things will shape him up hopefully for next weekend.”
