just gettin a bit bored and sick of procrastinating about the youth im gonna pick(not much you can do until NAB cup games), so i thought we could get some thoughts on the premiums

at the moment my first picks for each position are:

BACK: Goddard, he is the best backman for SC by far. will play 22, wont score under 80, and not often under 100. only problem is he is tough to pick as captain.

MID: Dal Santo, great point getter for supercoach and this yr looking at gettin rested up fwd which means a few goals to his score...looking at being my captain until i can get yabblett in.

RUCK: Ottens/hille, will score simillar(chances are 1 or even both will get injured throughout the yr) but im taking the risk at the expense of extra cash throughout the team.

FWD: Roo, freak plays up the ground similar roles as brown and pav only more consistant then brown and can score alot bigger scores then pav can.

if we can get ppl to post there best 4 players with reasons that would be great

In the backs my first picked will be Hodge - he owes me from last year and now that i've gotten over it he is in.

Mids - learnt my lesson, as my number 2 Bartel is very well priced, durable, and dependable in!

Rucks: Kreuzer - improver

Forwards: Goodes makes huge appeal as he has more versatility than Roo (his knee history worries me a little bit.)

Backs: Hodge, cannot possibly resist at that price after 2008 form.
Mids: Ablett, self explanatory?
Rucks: Sandilands, im thinking this is his year.
Forwards: Riewoldt, see ablett.

Back - Hodge for me, can't beleive how cheap he is:eek:. Played sore last year and now fit he is frst lock for me:thumbsu:

Mids - Ablett would be the easy option but given his price which I think will come down the next best option would be Swan.

Ruck - Tippet for me. Wont do much ruckwork but will score well as a forward.

Forward - O'Keefe. Fitter and stronger this year and he is the first lock in for my team.

Backs: C.Enright - very consistent and durable option. Won't score as high as Goddard, but is cheaper and therefore allows more flexibility with other choices.

Mids: S.Mitchell - a very under-rated midfield option. Might not get quite as high in scoring as other midfielders, but comes cheaper and is arguably more resilient to injury and tagging and is one of the most dedicated players to putting consistent football out on the park.

Rucks: M.Clark - more dynamic than Jolly, cheaper than Cox and probably shown more potential for gaining big scores from aspects such as contested marks, defensive rebounds and entries into the forward line.

Forwards: N.Riewoldt - one of the most consistent high-scorers in the competition even if he doesn't get huge bags of goals. Very rarely has a poor game.

Back: Hodge, he is just too cheap not to get.

Mid: Ablett, self explanitory.

Ruck: Sandilands, easily the most dominant in his position in the last year or two, cheaper than Cox and will probably out produce him this season.

Forward: Reiwoldt, contested marks and shots at goal. Absolute jet of a player.

Backs-have to go with goddard hes to good
Mid-Abblett is obvious my other smokey is dane swan
Rucks-Cox,Sandilands or Jolly. 4 emergencys go warnock&charman
Forwards-Roo or Goodes i prefer goodes

Backs: Hodge - As like everyone else, at that price is a great option.
Mids: Dal Santo - Starter every year for me, and always scores well.
Rucks: Sandilands - I see him being the top scoring ruck this year.
Forwards: Riewoldt - Years of high scoring.

Newman: Ultra consistent last year and I want backmen who will play all 22

Ablett: Only 30k more than last year, worth the risk.

Sandilands: Mainly due to the uncertainty about Cox.

ROK: One of the only players who can get near Ablett when he is on song. Just hope he starts better than last year.

I would't call Dane Swan a 'smokey' when he averaged 123.3 a game last year.

Also why would you spend valuable money on your rucks bench? Why not pick two reliable ruckman (Sandilands, Tippett) and have Drew Petrie in your forward line. Just in case one of your ruckman is out for a week, then substitute him into the ruck. I have two 83k ruckman on the bench. Would rather use the coin else where.

Goddard
Ablett
Sandilands
Riewoldt

You'd only be able to substitute Petrie into the ruck for both your main ruckmen if you had a ruck/forward as one of your bench options. .ie. Lobe. That what I have done as I will be able to replace Cox or Sandilnds then with Tippet. :D:thumbsu:
