Also interesting is the most accurate against stats. In other words, how opponents have scored against each team.

Teams like Essendon, Collingwood and Brisbane tend to put lots of pressure on the opposition and so make them fluff their shots a lot. I would've put the Roos in this group as well, so it surprised me to see them come bottom of this particular table.

Any thoughts?

No, you can't have that theory - the Hawks come in fourth last in the 'accuracy against' stat, and apparently we're the softest team to ever take the field. It must be something else.

They're interesting stats, but the most impressive part was that you've got them all lined up. How the heck did you do that?

Port, West Coast, Hawthorn and Melbourne look pretty good on those tables. What do they have in common that makes these results similar? Only thing I can think of is a more traditional style of game based around a fairly strong centre corridor.

Surprised that we were 2nd in the league, also surprised at the Dogs fairly high ranking (considering earlier events).

Put St.Kilda's accuracy down to Stephen Milne. He went for about 23 goals straight (I think) without scoring a behind.

So, Essendon and Richmond are the two most innacurate teams. I've always suspected that the "sash" makes us and the Tigers subconsciously push the ball to the side. Now the stats back it up!

Once again Richmond set the pace in the AFL. Is there anything this side can't do?

Congratulations Tivendale... err, Tigers.

**** mate that must have taken hundreds upon thousands of hours to get that site going and updated on a weekly basis.

Where did you get information such as match stats from 1994 from?

The 1994 stats I'm currently typing in from 1994 newspaper "liftouts"
1995-1997 I typed them in each week to run a fantasy league,
1998 to now I get them online - saving alot of wear and tear on the fingers, thankfully.

So pretty much been fiddling with it for 7 years, Test Cricket about 10 years, and League about 17 years.
