Thanks for the update.:) If you had to compare him to a player who would it be?

Not really sure has tremendous awarness and can find space so easily has the hugest kick last year in yr 11 apparantlley kicked out and landed the ball on the centre circle with a huge torp. Maybe James Hird kind of player is a bombers and west coast fan I think.

from SA:

Cameron Wood

has great skills for a big man, at 17 and 203cm and still growing this kid could be anything, has courage and phenominal skills for a big fella. Played his first league game for West on the weekend, althought he was rushed in due to injuries he continually put his undersized body on the line!

Danny Meyer

This kid is a gun! will probably go in the top 10, played league trials for Glenelg at the start of the year and could be another Andrew Mackie, currently dominating the 1st 18 competition for Sacred Heart, he is allowed to do what he wants on the field by the coach and can play tall or small!

Brad Sugars

Another Sacred Heart product, a FF or CHF who has great hands and rarely misses, played league trials for glenelg also this year, might be a latish pick or one for the rookie list!

Jed Wilson

would be surprised if he gets picked up, but is still a chance due to his fantastic skills, is a bit of a wild boy after quiting school in term 1 and is known for his partying will be lucky to be picked up but someone may take a gamble on him, his a small midfield/flank type.

Scott Bricknell

Bottom age player this year, if he is not picked this yearr will be in the top 5 next year, in year 11 and is on the verge of playing league for West here in adelaide, another one that can play tall or small but is much better as a midfielder, great skills and is loved and highly rated by Shuan Rehn already!

Adam Hartlett

Unlucky not to be drafted last year, then was too young for the rookie list! Is a CHF/FF with a great wrk ethic and is an accurate shot for goal, i think he may have switched league clubs now from West to Glenelg becuase of lack of opportunities at west!

Others who i do not know as much about that should get drafted are:

Troy Stribling of North Adelaide
Angus Monferies of Sturt (although is struggling this year and has a tendancy to drop the head in a marking contest)
Josh Sampson (overrated by Scottroo though)
Shannon Hurn

Go Roos

Mark LeCras

Details:

Club: West Perth/Whitfords
DOB: 30 August 1986
Height: 183 cm
Weight: 73 kgs
Position: Centre, Forward
Natural Foot: Right

Honours:
2003 WA Under 18’s
2003 HFF WAFL Colts team of the Year

Profile:

West Perth’s Mark Lecras has been surrounded by football all his life, and it looks as though his passion for the game will see him have a long career in the sport.

Playing for several clubs through the development of his football, Lecras began playing at the Northern coastal town of Cervantes where he grew up. He then Played for two years at Quinns and two years at Whitfords before returning to Cervantes.

Lecras joined West Perth in the 16s and played colts in 2003. Last year he was also a member of the WA Under18s team that played in Melbourne.

“It was good playing for so many clubs,” said Lecras. “Playing under a few different coaches and seeing other people’s way of footy. I think it helped a bit.”

It’s not surprising Lecras has already come this far in football. His father Peter was a prominent player for East Fremantle (79 games) and his brother Brent was picked up at pick 56 in the 2003 national draft by the Kangaroos.

“Dad gave us a footy at a pretty young age and taught us how to kick and the rest of it. I was always down in the park with my brother when we were younger, always out the back kicking the footy. We grew up with it,” he said. “Dad never really forced us to play footy. He’s given us the option and I think that’s made us want to play more and made us love it.

Lecras said his brother being drafted was an exciting experience.

TAC CUP

what about tom langford from oakleigh? brother of hawthorn legand chris langford, bottom age but still eligible for this year's draft. tipped to go to hawthorn possible chance this year but is bottom age.

has anybody seen Pat Rose from Western Jets play? He is the leading possession winner in the TAC Cup at the moment.

Is there anyone here that's seen Luke Blackwell play and if so would he be worth a 3rd round pick at this stage in your opinion.

I think he would go before Round 3. He is constantly amongst the Best players and should be a shoe in for U18 selection

West Coast Stre, did you get your player info from a website?

franklin was great he is a freak hes so big and skillful he is a 400m champ as well.

Quetions for theorangepeople and Falconer02?

Mitchell Clark {East Fremantle} all Australian under 16 and I think won the medal at the carnival. Where is he playing in the West any comments on his progress.

Franklin and Morton who would you compare them to ,in style in the AFL?

In your opinions would Morton be a steal for West Coast as a third round pick via the father son rule?

Guys as I live in Melbourne I would greatly appreciate your views.

Falconer02 sounds like you go to Hale and theorangepeople to Christ Church care to help a Scotch College Perth, old boy out??????
