Anyone been noticing the guy from the Chaser popping up and shaking the hand of nearly every Logie winner so far? Also went up for the kid's show winner, not sure if he was in that or not, don't follow the show.

Look out for a segment on it on next Friday's episode for sure.

I usually don't watch the Logies, but tonight was a rare occasion when I was flipping through and I saw him get up with that kid show winning the award.

Without a doubt Chas was the only highlight of what is always an embarassment to the australian people. He must have popped his head into a camera shot at least 20 times tonight. Even managed to have his head near every Gold Logie Nominee, embrace John Woods and clap to that Circus show.

He finished the show off by just running aimlessly around all the tables following the camera. Brilliant! :thumbsu:

Graham Kennedy Award-Most Outstanding New Talent: Chris Lilley (We Can Be Heroes,ABC)

:thumbsu: :thumbsu: great to see him get two of those friggin statues...

jennifer hawkins... and the chaser guy were the highlights !!! haha

I'm guessing there will be a Logies segment on the Chaser this week.

Unbelievably flat telecast - Chaser, Joan Rivers and Bert's duet with Gra-Gra offered brief respites from the tacky affair.

Next year, either Chaser or John Safran to host.

Scrap the irrelevant music acts and keep the broadcast to 2 hours.

Good on John Wood for winning. While the SMS system is a farce, it rightly denied Rove another Gold which is good (and justice)

Onya Chas- love your work!

Did anyone notice Daryl and Sonia Kruger? I don't watch DWTS so I don't know if he does it regularly- he hand his right hand on Sonia's lower back, just above her hip throughout his speech. What was doing there?

Breaking News: Bert Newton has just appeared on today show. He injured himself just after the Logies went off the air early this morning. When the golden streamers came down and the presenters were dancing on stage, Bert happened to slip on one of them and hit the steps. He says he is fine although he has a few scratches on his face and a sore hand.

Joan Rivers on Richard Wilkins:

"I had no idea he was straight, so that's an extra bonus!"

Joan Rivers was far and away the best thing about that telecast - hilarious

she should be hosting the show. she tells it like it is. funny how i think she said she doesnt know anyone on her table. funny enough, i think she speaks for all of us.

does anyone think the guy from CSI really enjoyed himself at the logies? perhaps looking forward to the after party me thinks.

what a joke that home and away won best drama, it just proves what a farce australias tv industry and the logies are

I enjoy watching the Logies, but apart from the Gold I always like to see who wins the Best Sports Program. And for the 2nd year in a Row, the NRL Footy Show won it. While it isn't a bad show it has nothing on the AFL version. I was trying to figure out why it won it again. The Answer is: Before The Game. Both the AFL Footy Show and Before The Game take votes off each other. Thus leaving the NRL Footy show to get every vote from League fans. This is a pity too because either show is much better than the Sydney version. And lets be honest, the NRL Footy Show was on its last legs before Fatty fell off a truck.

That being said, Fatty deserves the Logies just for what he went through. He put his body on the line for the show and he got rewarded.

Still watch the show? It's bloody hilarious, far better than the AFL footy show - I only watch the AFL one because it's about AFL. I watch the NRL one because it's a great show, even if you don't follow NRL.

I turned it over once the NRL FS won their award. Shows how crap Australian TV is if they win an award. Mind you, glad Bathurst got up even though it may have been a slow year if Indy was on the last 5....

I was extremely surprised that it won, as the show struggled to get viewers last year. They tried out new hosts and everything. There was even talk that it might get axed.

A new category should be introduced next year:

Most tacky moment on Australian television.

And the inaugural winner is...

Bec, Lleyton and Mia Hewitt at the 2006 Logie Awards.
