I was a little concerned with the 5 day break going into the Cats game.

But as it turns out, the Cats also have a 5 day break which may be more difficult to overcome for an older team then a younger team. Not that Geelong are an old team, just older then us.

We play Dogs, Crows, Swans, Dees, Bombers, carlton & Lions twice.

We really can't complain. Crows & Swans appear to be on the spiral down. 2 games against the Dogs at TD are tough games.

Stupid that we play Bulldogs twice at the Dome.

But we have an agreement to play 2 home games at Telstra Dome.

Other than that, good draw, nothing new really.

I am happy with our spread of games...I will only have to juggle my playing and 5 pies games on a Saturday afternoon!

i think its average imho 6 night games in a row
we once again only play geelong once in a season i think thats 7 seasons in a row now, before people jump on me and say thats good , think about it we as a club need to improve and only way of doing that is playing the top class teams twice if that means we miss the finals because of a tougher draw well so be it , playing the demons twice in the first 11 rounds give me a break they havent been a dominate side for 8 years, we need to play the finalists of last year at least twice. dont get me wrong i like a softer draw but its a illusion to where we are and we will be found out in the end

How anyone can complain astounds me. We only play 3 of the top 4 sides of 2008 once and only 4 interstate games. Each year we seem to get the easiest draw in the AFL, and 2009 is no exception. The AFL must really love us.

Spot on, we never get a bad draw and this one appears gift wrapped

That draw is insanely good for us based upon this year's performances. Only having to play Geelong, Hawthorn and the Kangaroos once each is a huge bonus. Of course, knowing our luck Melbourne will win 22 games next year and Hawthorn will be the WCE of 2009. :p

HI all,

I've written a tool to generate calendars for importing for any team (or all teams), with custom reminders etc.
It produces CSV and ICS (iCal) files, as well as PDF (no reminders obviously!).
It works with Outlook, iCal, Google Calendar etc etc.

It can be found here:
http://www.thismonkey.com/afl/2009/aflfixture-2009.shtml

Please take a look, and leave comments, ideas etc if you like.

Thanks
Scott
