Re: Rohan Bail

i wouldnt get too excited, he was in a team where most players scored very highly today. just his 2nd game, and likely to drop down to 50 ave.

Re: Mitch Robinson

My rule was simply not buy someone that I thought wasn't guaranteed in the 22 as a starter/smokey pick.

I personally see better value in the rookie picks such as Banner, Shuey and Barlow. I'd consider trading him, but you may as well keep him until he stops making money.

i agree, but i think robinson will improve dramatically. expect him to average 80 by seasons end, he has it in him.

Barlow

What's the protocol with a player like this? I've had him in my initial team and he's in for a huge $ increase particularly if he scores well again next week. Do you then keep him basically as one of your gun players for the year or do you down trade early and make heaps of cash? Or maybe sit and wait a few more rounds and see if he looks like dropping off? No idea if he can keep this form up!

Re: Barlow

If he continues scoring this high why would you trade him out for another player who is scoring simiarly or less? Keep him in until he shows signs of slowing down.

Re: Barlow

If he continues to score upwards of 100 he will either be my last mid or my last upgrade depending on consistency.

Want to see how he keeps going but you won't have to make a decision on him barring some sort of season ending injury til late in the season.

Re: Barlow

There's no protocol for this situation because there's never before been a rookie-priced mid who posts Ablett-like scores. If he averages 100+ then I'll keep him in the mids and save a trade.

Re: Barlow

Think he'll be one of those players that you keep until late in the season (Round 17-20) and then trade him for a big gun player eg. Montagna, Swan, Ablett. Pretty much a luxury trade player. I'm very strict with my mids, they need to average 105-110 at least for them to be a keeper for me. If he's able to do this, he'll stay, but there's still a long way to go.

Re: Mitch Robinson

I meant in the preseason games, when Judd was playing :p
haha my bad, yeah he did score very well. According to the stats that superfooty realeased he played 3 games scoring 91, 105 and 104. If he gets anywhere from 85 upwards I will be rapt with him. Is it going to happen though? Doesn't look like he will consistantly

SILVAGNI - must have?

Apologies in advance for starting this outside trade threads but I am not getting a response AND i think this decision is important enough for all non Silvagni players to benefit from.

I had Silvagni in until the deadline but after having backline emergencies burning me the last couple of years I took a different tact and swapped him for Waters (not unhappy about it)..so here's my dilemma - should I bring Silvagni in before he goes up and can make me a lot of money...

Goddard, Shaw, Hodge, Goodwin, Malceski, Waters, Macguire, Raines -
have been servicable so far BUT the Silvagni dilemma is do I burn someone and two trades for his value. Shaw will average 100+ and Goodwin 90+ but one must go for Silvagni for a forward or premium mid upgrade. Decisions...hmmmm

To experienced Supercoaches is Silvagni a must have and what must you weigh up when doing the trade?

Re: SILVAGNI - must have?

Must have no but yes his 100 carries over for another 2 games and will make a fair bit of money. His job security looks good and he himself looks good. To trade out Shaw or Goodwin is a mistake in my opinion. It would be Raines or no one from the list provided.
