Re: spud_jjj's Round 17 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion (WILL UPDATE AS TEAMS ARE ANNOUNCED_

plays for geelong, number 17, forward pocket, averaged 100 before i got him and ever since he has been a shit ****

And this, Sir, is why you don't pick up forward pocket players ;)

After seeing the Tigers outs, in going Swan C :)

I urge all other coaches to go GAJ, as I'm a coach jinx

Re: spud_jjj's Round 17 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion (WILL UPDATE AS TEAMS ARE ANNOUNCED_

spudd do u reckon its worth trading bryness to goodes, i have 250k in the bank, 3 trades left my current forward is: pavlich, harvey, rioli, hall, podsiadilly, rockliff, dangerfield, bryness, playfair

Who is Bryness?

shannon brynesss

Oh, right. Never heard of him.

HAHA. :D:thumbsu: Try 'Byrnes' besty!

In answer to your question, YES, If I was in your position I would use one of your remaining trades to bring in Goodes for Byrnesss :)p, sorry). Normally I'd say save as many trades as you can for LTI and finals, but Goodes seems to be finally getting midfeld time for the Swans and his strong finishes to season's is well-documented. Having Goodes in your side would certainly strengthen it, while giving you more options come finals time. Bring in Goodesie I say! :)

Top stuff as always Spud :thumbsu:

But posted at 3.50 AM! When do you sleep?

Think I might give Swan or Chappy the captaincy this week. Although Swan's record against the Tigers isn't great, but I can't go past his current form...

Haha.

Mate, Being a uni student with bugger all contact hours kinda kills any consistency I may have with sleeping patterns.

RE: Swan, Agree his record isn't execeptional against the Tiges, in fact, that was the reason I didn't include him in this week's Captain's Corner. Having said that, you can't deny the form he's in.

Plenty of other great captaincy choices out there :thumbsu:.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 17 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion (WILL UPDATE AS TEAMS ARE ANNOUNCED_

Great stuff spud, love it.

Struggling this week with captain choice yet again. Went Goddard over GAJ last week for a 20pt gain. Monty as vice who would've gained me 50 and a win in my home league so this week i'm unsure yet again.

Right now i have it - Selwood (c), Ablett (vice), Goddard/Montagna close third. Boomer x factor.

Spud whats you're thoughts on Selwood as capt? left him out of the captain section and I was a bit suprised?

Didn't leave him out for any reason in particular mate, only that his record against his opposition this week (Brisbane) wasn't as impressive as the others I mentioned, so sort've in a similar boat to Swan.

Having said that, since starting his AFL career, Selwood has scored 124, 80, 121, 50, 75 & 110 for an average of 93 against the Lions, so nothing at all to be concerned about whatsoever, should you decide to whack the big C next to his name.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 17 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

For my last on ground midfielder spot i can't decide on Rich (Bris), Logan (Port), Ebert (WCE) or Cunnington (Nth Melb).

Logically i think it should be between Logan or Rich.

The decision would be made easier if my other reserve/bench player wasn't injured as he'd be straight in.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 17 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Davis or Webberley in defence as cover for Shaw? I'm in a no win situation...

Davis is on a from bench, makes the descision a bit easier, unless you want to wait until the final teams a released.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 17 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

So tempted to give Boomer or NIcky Dal the captiancy but will stay loyal to Ablett for one more week. With Stevie J back in gaz should play more in the midfield, and score big.

Stevie J is back though Shannon Byrnes is out.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 17 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Quick Question, i want to play Chapman in the midfield but i have him in my forward line, is it possible to put him as an emercency and choose a player from my midfield bench who is not playing, Would Chapman take his spot as my Midfield player?
