I like your thinking Kristof, I was going to suggest that myself.

rebel's pick 115: Greg Broughton

Carlile and Duffield both great picks in this last round btw.

Just give me a second to think over mine...

One of the tougher picks so far:

Pick 116: Dale Morris

If I'm making a perfect football team from all the players in the AFL right now, this guy is in it. His versatility is amazing and he just doesn't get beaten. Perfect guy to have as your 3rd tall. I rate him a fair way ahead of O'Brien, Maxwell and Gwilt to be honest.
I think he has suffered from Ben Rutten syndrome over the last couple of years in that his popularity and recognition from the media dropped by about 95% as soon as he made the AA team, despite his form still being fantastic.

I was very close to finishing off my key-forward setup with the prick Jack Anthony though :S

fwiw - I've really been in a 'cant be ****ed mood' the last 36 hours, so I havn't given a crap about here, and I'll just take some random midfielder that comes to my mind (probably Black or Sidebottom or some shit)

Gun pick. :thumbsu:

Pick 117 - Jarrad Grant (WB)

I wanted to grab another tall for my forward line, as I think they're pretty thin on the ground. Personally, I don't much rate Anthony, Hawkins, Kosi and Hale, who are probably the best of what's left (unless I'm missing some folks), but I was really impressed with Grant last year and think he'll take another step up this year. There's hopefully still enough quality in the key backs and rucks to get some reasonable folks in the next few picks.

Pick 118 - Rob Murphy

I can't believe you took Grant before this guy Kristof! Has been a gun utility for years now, and has started to get well deserved recognition from the media.:thumbsu:

Yeah gotta agree with that, Murphy is a very good pick. After the two I picked I had Varcoe and Bob as my next two options. A better bargain pick than Dale Morris IMO.

I had to seriously double check he wasn't taken already! I was pretty gutted when Broughton was taken, as he is a favourite of mine, but I think this more than makes up for it.:thumbsu: I rate Grant, but he aint in the same stratosphere as Murphy, yet (and won't be for quite a while).

Murphy was on my list, bu I needed someone who could play deep forward and Murphys best football has been mobile tall in defense, i think, and I had Gilbert for that.

But you're right - I WAS determined to always pick best available, and I broke that rule because there is no way Grant is currently better than Murphy. But I thought I should do something to lock down some structural elements of my team.

Murphy can also play the floating foward role, who pushes up the ground a lot, very well too. But, fair enough call on your part.

Pick 119 Joel Corey

Ok, so with some poor selection on my part previously (and EFH) by not picking up a half decent FB, I am going to continue this folly with my next two picks.

#121 - Eddie Betts
Lead the Blues goalkicking last year, and with no one else looking likely to step up, I think Fast Eddie will be good for another 40+ season.

#122 Simon Black
Toughest decision I've had to make, and could be one I live to regret. Black, entering his 14th season in the AFL has been a model of class and consistency. He'll hit 32 during 2011 and we all know how injuries can start to mount for those in his age bracket. I'm going to bank on his ultra professionalism and fitness to get him through another season.

Good thing I took him when I did then :p;):D

Well, I may as well take my 3rd captain
Domenic Cassisi (after Maxwell and Pavlich or course)
