Dylan Orval any relation to Mark who played for us before injuries screwed him?

I think it's his son

Cool, I'll have to see how he goes.

Thought his dad was going to be very good until injured.
Saw him kick 4 goals against Ess (i think) at the G one day playing FF.
Stuffed if I know what year though.

Ah Mark Orval, the Sean Rusling of the 1980's, I remember him well, he was going to be the next Tony Lockett/Phil Carman until injuries struck him down.

He was part of the famous 1986 under 19's flag team I believe, that produced several of the 1990 premiership winning players.

If that is his son, I'd love to see him at the club, and just pray that he didn't get his durability genes from his dad.;)

on TAC Cup Future Stars they did a Bit with Daics Challange again Dylan and Daccs had a Picture of him as kid with Daics in his Pies Jumper

We dont enter the draft till pick 50 in a shallow draft... dont expect much at all, we've already covered our bases with elliot witts yagmoor mooney. Will probably end up playing vfl for a few years, hopefully get a Hine wonderstrike but not likely

This is from Knights Mock Draft and Well I would not be my 1st Choice - I wouldn't complain if we Picked him as he has very Good Speed and Uses the ball well

WOW.

I really want this guy to break the zone and give us a quick run out of defense. Imagine him and the Irish Jet on the same team. Immense. What are the chances? Could he slide???

Ha, yeah that's him, Sean Rusling MK2 , exactly what I was thinking, real shame as you say. Another in the basket of "what could've been".

Is quality. In my top 15 on quality. Very much rate.
Should go 1st round. Might have been an option had we retained pick 25, but even then was unlikely.

At 50 you are looking at scraps and hoping there is a curious slider.

My dream pick would be Waylen Manson. KPF height (195cm). Could play KPF/3rd tall. Raw but talented. Big leap. Production absolutely off the charts. Probably didn't interview all that well and there is the go home factor. But probably individually close to if not the best talent in the draft, and if he slides to 50. You take that chance, because not likely you get quality at 50 anyway, and if he works out for us, we could have a star.

Tom Downie would be a neat option as a ruckman. Some will say "don't need. have Witts + Ceglar who are all similar enough and don't fit our age profiling." Personally that doesn't worry me. You can get good rucks late/rookie. While we don't have these early picks do it now. Talent is there.

Shane Kersten (undersized KPF) or Jordan Lockyer (Undersized KPF/KPD who can play 3rd tall either end) are others I could see as potential sliders.

Mitch Brewer I'm a bit fan of, but possibly more of a rookie. Another ruckman. Big. Quicky posted some footage of him some time ago. Big unit and also from a rugby background like Witts which makes him intriguing.

Ben Brown I expect we can get as a rookie. Worthwhile project as a KPF or potential no.2 ruckman. Talent i've liked for a while.

Jimmi Savage as a potential KPF through the rookie draft is interesting. High level athlete. Talent is there. Was with GWS but went back home to SA. Rookie option.

Ben Gazzola as a mature KPF is another worth looking at. Big body. Might even be a no.2 ruck option to replace L.Brown. Has an ok leap on him. Endurance good. From b-ball background. Not nearly there yet but is someone you could work with. Rookie option.

Would Love Manson too fall that Far but I bet Sheedy would take with one many 1st Rounders

Kersten or Lockyer I just can't see being there at 50

Brewer I would not mind taking at 50 but I think he be Rookie or one of the 60's Picks

I think Ben Brown would be a Big Chance for us at Pick 50 and Could fill L Brown role spot n.

Ben Brown Profile and Video:

Jimmi Savage would be High Risk High Reward Pick. Very Skinny but Has High Potential. Would not Complain at all if we took him at Pick 50

Downie be the same as Savage

Don't know enough about Ben Gazzola to make a comment

Where is Taylor Adams projected to go? I can see why Bucks likes him....square jaw and flat snozz!

In all seriousness, and I realise all players look like stars on their highlights but this kid's evasiveness in traffic is some of the best I've seen in a highlights package. Extremely clean too.

What are the chances of him getting through to 50?

Also, given Hine said they have fulfilled all requirements for the list and therefore will be taking a "best available" approach to our selections - who are the players likely to float late regardless of type?

Will probably go top 10. Won't slip past 20.

No chance at 50.

Knightmare, what do you think of Sam Dwyer from Port Melbourne.

Is he a prospect in this draft?

I only watched him in their grand final, but what I saw was first class. He is quick, very good disposal and can present well when forward. He seems like a great accompliament to Thomas on another wing.

I also noticed he came second in their BnF.

Really rate Dwyer also.

Would be around 25 years of age, very immediate player.

What I like most about his game is his delivery to forwards through the midfield. Just weights his kicks so perfectly.

Is that clear class above VFL level and is probably my favourite midfielder at the moment playing at that grade. Can also play forward as you touched on. Absolutely is a late/rookie option for consideration.

Is on my list of those to consider. Very much like his game.

Ah, didn't know he was 25, but he would be ready made.

I think, without Didak firing this year we suffered from poor kicking into the 50 and as you said this is one of his strengths. I think he would be a good addition to the side as a speedy, agile, outside player with a good kick like Didak if he happened to have another poor year.

I would be happy if we got him with a late pick.

Piva Wright?

I heard from one of his school teachers that Buckley spoke very highly of his maturity and leadership skills.

Where would he fit into the side?

Since waylen mansons big day out yesterday I guess we got no hope of getting him at our first pick at 50

Did his 1st round chances no harm.

Still questions on personality, work ethic, go home factor. Some call him a one dimensional, one trick pony and because his only thoughts are "go for goal" perhaps he isn't a "team player". Others are talking him down because he is playing against short opposition who aren't tall enough to properly defender him.
Who knows.
Could slide.

If he does slide I hope we take him. Absolutely incredible talent. We have the programs and resources to make it work for him. If it doesn't, no big loss. Only pick 50. Can always delist in a years time if it comes to that.

If he works out, develops and puts his heart into the football club. Hell, he could be our best player in 5 years time. Absolute perfect fit for us, particularly because we are looking for that next young KPF, would fit our age profiling perfectly with James Stewart to come one year later.

Personally I'm on the Manson bandwagon. Have more faith than most that he can work out. At the end of the day, talent wins. And he isn't just talent, he has proven production behind him to prove that he isn't just little flashes of something here and there, he can genuinely produce beyond belief. Of KPFs the truely elite ones are those with the greatest talent, we have known many with questionable personalities who have gone on to have serious careers and become seriously dominant key forwards. Manson can become one of those dominant KPFs. No doubt in my mind. But all this said has a long way to go.

He would be an interesting type and can fill a need as a 3rd Tall type at 189cm.

His Biggest Problem though most likely would be he is a Tweener

I doubt he be there at 50. To Much Talent for other Teams to pass up.

I reckon Sheedy at GWS will take him in the Top 10

really like the look of Julian Duboscz from Tassie - any chance he could slide to pick 50? Or a certainty to go in the 20-40 range? Would be a good fit at Collingwood.

I would think it would be Highly Unlikely

In a week Manson has gone from rookie pick, probably to a wa team to likely first rounder, all of this on pure bigfoity speculation

Honestly think about it, speculative national draft to rookie to now a first rounder? I've got no idea of we'll draft him but let's be honest he was either massively under rated a week ago or the bigfooty one up machine has hit top gear and he's getting over rated

At a guess lady draft pick for wce

It happens all the time, people see one game then think they're a champion without knowing what they've done for an entire season.

Had him in my 1st round for probably the past month and a bit. Has been producing big numbers for some time now since a little before the bigfooty trial phantom draft.

People are just now starting to talk about him because there wasn't really any footage circulating till just the last 2-3 weeks.

Would be a big surprise to see Dobosz drop beyond 40. Will probably go early-mid 2nd round.

If he did slide would be one we'd have to consider.

Whilst I think your point is well made the Manson case is a bit different. Nobody had seen this kid 2-3 months ago bc he literally hadnt played in anything but a Claremont Kimberleys Development squad. Claremont invited him down for a Colts game and he kicked 12:9 in two games. He has then gone back and played NTFL to show more of himself and has kicked 28 goals in 3 weeks....along the way testing at the DC (where he wasnt great). For mine there is no question he is one of the most talented players in the pool and probably has the most x factor but he didnt interview well and the 'go home factor' is huge and there are real flaws in parts of his game but they are all things that can be taught. WCE are still spewing they took Sampi at 5 all those years ago and let many good players go behind him. Personally I think he will go to Freo at 20 or WCE at 28 and if not by then its really a lottery and who is prepared to gamble.

What your saying is true snoop unless west coast (who you make out to be gun shy) or freo (who has the biggest risk averter coach) take him early, he is very little chance of being first or second round.

I'm sorry I just hate how one performance takes a player from pick 60 to pick 10, ala that rookie full forward the dogs took a couple of years ago who may just have been cut
