Chappy just made more errors in a game on sat since I've seen from him in years.

Still had 28 touches, but they weren't of any value.

Will come good, and is now super cheap. I'm jealous of those who now get to trade him in at this price.
 
Bartel.... after 4 weeks of playing pretty much the same role (primarily across the forward-line with short stints in the middle) is it fair to say that this is what we can expect from him for the remainder of the year? Absolutely love the way he goes about his footy, but if this role continues... it ain't good for DT!

I never sideways trade but I am EXTREMELY tempted to ditch him for Selwood. If you take his injury-affected Rd.1 score out of the equation, he is averaging 119. That's 22 points more than Jimmy!!! Appreciate your thoughts... don't really wanna part with the great man but the stats (DT) don't lie!!! Cheers

I've got Jolly and thinking of dumping him for either Max Bailey or Vardy and letting Petrie & Smith share 2nd ruck.

Is Vardy a chance when Ottens returns? Can they play together?

They played together against Carlton.
 
I'm not sure Ottens, Vardy, Hawkins and Pods can all play together, as well as the 3 talls down back. At least not when we are being serious, it's fine against GC and the like or when one of the backs are out like against Carlton. Otherwise it is a stretch.

I think they can. In that situation Vardy's effectively replacing Mooney which gives us more mobility.

In any case I think Vardy's a good pick for a bench ruck because Ottens will be rested a fair few times in the run home and they seem to rate Vardy as the next best ruck option. With Hawkins and Mooney not performing that well, he's got a fairly good chance to make a spot his own over the next month or so.

I'm pretty sure this will continue until Geelong are tested, like playing Collingwood.. I really think Chris Scott is planning for Selwood to be the obvious highlight of the midfield by leaving other stars out of the midfield rotation.

foot = "general soreness"/what excuse can we devise to rest Chappy this week without actually saying we're resting him ;)
 
Fingers Crossed he is just having a rest for a week.. Any Geelong fans in the know how serious it is? I only just bought him into my team last week :(

Cheers mate, although I agree I've decided to give Jimmy one more week... surely he is due for a big one!!! Can't remember the last time he has gone this long without cracking the ton... C'MON SCOTTY, PLAY HIM ON THE BALL!!!

Quite good, with Mooney's knee taking him largely out of the equation and Vardy being a much superior ruckman to Hawkins, that 2nd ruck role gives him pretty good JS. Bear in mind he will be rested from time to time thoigh.

you guys got no inside scuttlebutt on this? He hasn't been scoring like Chappy of late, and I see he's back on the injury list and down for a test this week. I'm thinking it might be time to catch the StevieJ train that has well and truly left the station.
