i reckon the memberships numbers are generally a bit dodgy these days. there are so many different game packages. only full memberships should be counted imo. reckon the hawks membership would halve with all their tassie members if that was the case.

Not sure I agree with that full and interstate should be included, I buy a membership when I am only likely to see one or two games a year, if the Tiges play in WA twice and if I can stand spending an afternoon at the Subi oval, Im sure it's been built for short people, I'm only 6'3" but just about need to buy the seat in front of me as well so I have somewhere for my legs.
I would like to think that my membership is as important as any other, as in reality the full membership owners probably get better value for there money in the long run.
Really the main importance is that the AFL counts the same for each club, otherwise you get odd situations like the tankers claiming a profit by including everything on there profit side so that their supporters don't realise what crap admins they have had at Carlton for quite a few years. now

Yeh, I think you might be right, cheersI think you meant to quote Bouncing Back there, not me mate![]()

Then also take the case of living in a State where the RFC dont play at all, not even once a year. A $76 3 games membership to a Taswegian means if they want to use it will cost $750 extra. Memberships are structured around game attendance and rightfully so but shouldn't also be at the exclusion of people just as committed who just simply cant get to games regularly sometimnes if at all.
(And to call myself a "country member"....)
)Yep we remember - old political joke (no offense)
Agree as always TT. Up until a couple of years ago, despite living over 2 hours away and getting to few games each season, I maintained a full 11 game membership. The idea was to support the club financially more than game attendance anyway.
Due to a change in circumstances (kids), I've now switched to country membership and hope to get to a couple of games this year but still maintain the membership mostly to continue my support. (And to call myself a "country member"....)
I certainly don't consider myself any less of a member now than I did then.

.
).Can't believe how selfish one or two are in this thread.
For those that think you are better than someone else because you purchased a more expensive package and this feel you contribute more then whopee I bet you are pleased with yourself.
This week I purchased my first membership (3 game) and also donated to the FTF. I am now a paid up member like it or not! I have been supporting this club for 35 years and have only ever been to about 6 games and yet to experience a win. I hope to get over to atleast one game this year but if I dont then no sweat to me.
Oh and can someone tell me what general admission covers? Can I sit anywhere or only in certain locations (I would love to sit near the cheer squad if possible)? I would like to get over for the Blues or Dees midseason and maybe one later in the season?? I just need to organize my $500+ flights and accomodation (something the melbourne based members don't have to find thus you can fork out more for a dearer package and sleep better at night).

Looking good still. Yesterday they obviously didn't count all the sales![]()
How is this tracking compared to previous years at the same time? Any chance you could put this info into a graph or something MT....
