Winning game over rival vs Winning first major trophy in 42 years.
You know your fans have an inferiority complex if they think the former was bigger.
I don't expect that you would understand derby rivalries given you have supported both City, United and United-lite in the past decade.
Aside from the derby rivalry, it was our first game at Wembley and if you looked pre-game people were celebrating because we'd finally made it there. The game was a much more tense affair and the general consensus was that whoever won the semi would win the final.
Certainly the final (to me) was a game we were never going to lose, even when Kenwyne Jones got through to a 1on1 with the keeper at 0-0. Was a great occasion but didnt have the edge of the semi.
Wasn't our first trophy in 42 years either.
