To me, its not the flag wins that make me hate Hawthorn, its their arrogant dickhead supporters that tip me over the line.
They were the better team on the day in both of them, Carlton beat us twice in the 90s as did Wet Toast but I harbor no ill feelings to them.

A bad loser is somewhat understandable sometimes, but a bad winner - as a lot of hawks fans are - doesnt win any admirers!!

It's only the hawks who hate us from what I can tell. I think we are one of the most loved teams by neutral fans. Every team has abusive fans but we are are no where near the most abusive the south Australian teams, freo, Collingwood and you lot are the worst generally but who knows, everyone has a different expierience. I have found that Hawthorn supporters are the most arrogant with daylight between them and a second placed Essendon, Collingwood are the most stupid and feral, Carlton supporters to be the most abrupt and aggressive, and Port supporters to be the most vile and putrid (similar to Collingwood fans).

The idea that Sydney is boring to watch is an outdated myth these days. Yes, it was true around 2005-06, but not anymore at all. They play a style not dissimilar to Pagan's paddock of the 90's, allowing Jetta to run out the back into space. It's great to watch. I don't mind Hawthorn's style of play either, but its a very different style, founded on high foot skills and pin point passes, moreso than hard running forward (Birchall, Smith and Young probably the exception)

Well I agree. Sydney are not exactly a dire, defensive outfit anymore but still, they have the more conventional and simple game and that coupled with the fact that everyone seems to hate the Hawks all of a sudden, suggests they're all getting on the Swans bandwagon with an axe to grind.
