I have one of the higher bottom half teams and his team is solid. Gonna be close. He has 7 premium forwards but lacks in the back line (hunt, Yarran, Spurr) so hopefully I get an advantage there.

Also he has Swan so I am hoping he values trades super highly

Shit.... it's gonna be a very tough week this week.

Only plus side i see is that he has Swan, with D.Smith and JMAC on the pine, so if they aren't named this week and he doesn't trade Swan he will cop a 0.

I have had the worst luck this year in Elim....keep getting decent teams and now i got a team that will probably beat me....It's gonna be a tough week for sure.

Last weeks injuries have plonked me well down the eliminator ladder, got a tough match up as a result. Should have him covered in the mids but his FWD line is amazing. WIll be very close indeed.

How do you figure? I lost by 137 (which includes Murphy's 54 as captain) granted I got my maths wrong and 89 was not the magic number FTW, but take away Murphy's score altogether and I lose by 191.

So if Murphy had not got injured and scored 96 points (x 2 = 192) I would have won by 1 point. It would be reasonable to expect 96 points as a minimum from a guy averaging 110 at the time and with scores of 126 & 144 against Adelaide in his last 2 games against them + playing at home. Nothing you can do about LTI's early on in games, no matter who you're playing. If it's your Captain you're screwed. It's only a shit Captains choice with the benefit of hindsight.

Yeah my logic was very wrong. I started to think about it like when people say e.g. if I had Boyd (128) captain instead of Murphy (27) I would've scored 256 more. When really they had 27 x 2 + 128 = 182, and could've had 27 + 128 x 2 = 283, so difference of 101.

Anyway, my ranking inside the top 2000 this week has got me versing the 20000th team or thereabouts, who are ranked higher than me overall.

Both have Bennell, Martin, Franklin, Zaharakis (forwards) Giles (ruck) Pendlebury, Joel Selwood & Horsely (midfields) and Clarke, Goddard & Deledio (backs).

His team seems very reactionary, e.g. has Kennedy & Scott Selwood in the mids. Wouldn't expect someone who started with those 2 to be around 16k overall. So I'm hoping he trades in a premium like Cotchin, but not a superpremium like Ablett, in this week, and they have a bad week.

Am opposing the force of ChocFudgePoptarts this week, after last week seeing off the might of Yeah Boiii! Am hoping all my opponents have stupid team names, and that this is my key to victory.

Either way, it all feels like a stay of execution until the bye rounds. I want whoever survives that to buy me a lottery ticket.

Got fairly lucky with my draw. Had a bad week last round and my eliminator rank was 23,809 I'm playing Texwalkermassacre who's eliminator rank was 5270. Overall i'm ranked a couple of thousand spots higher than him.

He has Swan, Greene and MacDonald so he might have to do some trading. Anyway points of difference before trading:

Him: Brougton, Morris, Hayes, Swan, Magner, Sandi, Kreuzer, Chappy, Cloke


So more premiums for me and he should be sideways trading Swan, so hopefully no upgrades.
