We'll have it on the main board this year since it's football related. So this will double as our live football thread we had on the TLS last season.

So pretty much anything you want to talk about not Swans related.

Hooray for Mark Le Cras being out for the year!

All 3 sides looked good at different times of the night. Hawks looked a cut above when they had their best side out. Mitchell dominated, Buddy showed his quality again and Gunston looked very at home in the forward line.

Hard to take anything out of the NAB cup, especially the 1st round with the round-robin style format. Hawks looked like they had that extra gear compared to the Tigers/North.

Conca gone most likely. 2-3 weeks.

Yeh it sounds like 3 weeks. Fitting IMO. I don't think he was being too heinous in his action but it certainly ****ed Adams right up.

GWS have been ok so far. Attack on the ball has been the standout.

Dunno how some forum posters can use NAB games to gauge how a team is gonna perform for the whole season hehe, concerned about the umpiring tho.

For the Conca incident i cant really see what happened unless there is close-up footage i have missed seemed like Adams was unaware and just runs into Conca who just braced himself?

I was impressed by GWS 1st game the kids had a crack and they did some good things good mix they have going of new and old

Callan and Phil Davis look like good leaders and i thought Sam Reid did well as well but i have a soft spot for my diabetes buddy also Giles is MASSIVE but will be interesting to see how they go against collingwood


Interesting to see that the Dogs and Pies arnt putting to much effort in...i know its NAB cup but really humidity cant be their excuse

Caught bits of each of GWS' games at the pub/home and I was suitably impressed. Fought for the ball with strength and competed wonderfully well over both games from what I saw. Cooyou, Giles and Bugg all looked good.

Way I see it.
Clearly off the ball. Adams could not reasonably have expected contact and Conca props and then initiates the bump.

Only saw games 2 & 3 tonight, but I liked the physicality of GWS v Collingwood. The other thing that struck me tonight was that the WBDogs seemed to have no foward structure whatsoever.

Adams should also see 3 weeks to, for lack of awareness.

WTf is wrong with some of this lot. They have no concept of what else is going on, if your ball watching or jogging through the middle whilst giving Nan a wave and are seen to - tuff t***ies. Questions must also be asked of you, as well as the lad laying a good bump.

Bit harsh. Conca stopped, pivoted and hit pretty quickly. Not much time to notice or change direction for Adams.

Sure it will make WCE weaker, but if we cant beat them with their best team in, shows we're not good enough. I dont know how anyone could think thats good! Very sad!!!

sure it was bad taste but probably reads out of context, S120's posts in general arent that way inclined.. just sayin.

as for the Conca incident, I agree with FU to a point, it was a block off the ball and Adams was checking himself out on the big screen, with accidental head contact.... In my day it wouldnt have even been 'accidental' and it would have received back slaps.. However 'accidental' doesnt come into the tribunals decision, sadly..
