Training 2012 Pre-Season underway

It's officially begun.

The players have been training with, or on the advice of Dean Robinson for upto a few weeks, but our pre-season has now kicked off.

I've learnt that there is a downside to climbing the career ladder - throwing a sickie when you have a hangover just means the pain will have doubled the following day through built up workload.....

So I'm at my desk, hungover like a motha......

Looks like Clams has spent his break in the weights room.

Clams could be one to watch in 2012. I think out of all the state league mature-ish players we have brought in - in that I include Howlett, Hardingham, Crameri - Clams will be the best.

Hopefully the recent incident was the wake up call Clams needed.

For those old enough to remember - I reckon there is a bit of Bomber Thompson about Clams.

Two more years in the weights room and he'll be there.

Yeah that interview with Browne's pretty good, LN.

Great to hear that he knows what's required. Apart from the usual puff stuff, it's the comment about "the best players are those that are professional even away from the club" that impressed me.

The fact that our players have barely stopped since the season finished indicates the message has been drilled in: you gotta train like the best to be the best etc.

Also, he (Browne) says he's been told to play as an inside midfielder. With his dash and skills, he'd be pretty handy in there, though I had him pegged at HBF.
