*double sigh*

That's two polite "please desist you two" posts in this thread...........plus this one. History tells us it should be left there eh?

Besides.........I'm sure Thomas and Campbell had something to do with my bad back earlier in the year..........I just need evidence!

Matthew Stokes was responsible for my bad back so surely Matt and Lindsay are responsible for yours.

Anyyyyyyyyways
On to the OP.
I disagree on two things youve stated.
Our backline if anything is the one area in our team that DOES NOT NEED ANY FIXING.
Thompson Grima Hansen McMahon and Urquhart will be looking after that for us all.
And Adams will be well and truly apart if not an important member of our midfield in 2013. Is a certainty to play rd1 if you ask me cause the way he finished off 09, the kid can play!

And just on the argument between RN1 and DR. The small forwards theory about not winning flags. Theres no major logic on whether they do or not.
The side that kicks the most goals on the day wins. Luck is involved. And the majority of the time the side that plays better wins.
08, 04, 03, 01, 98 and 97 all these flags went to the roughie. In 08 Geelong kicked crap. In 04 Byron and Port came to play. In 03 Collingwood disintegrated under pressure after beating the lions 3 weeks prior. In 01 the Bombers were overrun. In 98 Jarman Vardy and McLeod took EPO at half time aswell as a shot of clenbuterol and broke our hearts. It wouldnt have mattered if we had gained more than 15 points out of a possible 90. Basically small forwards will get you to the finals. They may go missing here or there. They may have a blinder. Point is its never 1 or 2 that will win the flag for a side.

HB: G Urquart (25) L Hansen (24) M White (23)

Too early to tell: B Norris (21), A Kennedy (21), J MacMillan (21), R O'Keefe (22), A Black (21) - Most of them were late draft picks so any contribution would be a bonus. I am wary of Aaron Black, he moves like a ruckman, ??? not a key position player, but he is only 192cm, I hope I am wrong but I believe he slid in the draft for a reason.

I didn't realise any youtube footage of Aaron Black exists but the AFL website footage makes your opinion on his mobility difficult to fathom. Please take a look at the 2 highlights from 1:09 onwards & tell me which AFL ruckmen can pick up the pill like that & execute that pass along the wing, at full pace, lace out on the non-preferred.

Not good enough:
Leigh Adams (25) - too short - IMO is our Paul Chapman & only 1 inch shorter - very harsh. Need to give him time.

Chappy averaged 16 disp / 3 tackles / 1 goal per game in his 3rd year
Adams averaged 17 disp / 4 tackles / 1 goal per game in his 3rd year (after serious injury)

W Benjamin (23) - can't kick - i'm offended after investing is his image...

Weakness: Backline (???) Thompson and Grima are working class, but will be effective if we have a dominant midfield.

They were effective last year. They will be AA contenders when our midfield WILL be dominant in 2-3 years.

Potential Stars: The contenders generally have 3-5 All Australians, from the team above the following players have AA potential, Urquart (will have an exceptional 2010), J Ziebell, B Cunnington, D Wells, R Tarrant, D Petrie, H McIntosh, maybe B Warren, S Thompson, N Grima, Goldstein, Bastinac, Swallow, McMahon, Anthony, Hansen

No chance Rawlings will be there in 2013 ....just kidding Wally, don't bother replying ;)

I have enough trouble in December 2009 trying to pick our best side for March 2010, without trying to get my head around a 2013 side.

This clearly highlights just another of my many inadequacies but aren't we a tad early to have a debate on this?

can see aaron black becoming better then tarrant eventually. regardless, the tarrant black forward combination is going to be amazing to watch within a few years:thumbsu:

Adams won't make it because he's too short? Boomer Harvey is pretty short. People forget how ****ing good Adams was at the end of last year.

Aaron Black is amazing bellow his knees, has good hands and nice skills. I only question his very small frame. I see a little bit of Robert Murphy in him, though he is quite a bit taller than Murphy which should make him a much more dangerous forward.

Players that made the team: Cunnington 0 games, Bastinac 0 games.

Adams - 176 cms

Forward pocket: Campbell - 174 cms

Leigh Montagna- 178cm
Tyson Edwards- 178cm
Marc Murphy- 180cm
Daniel Kerr- 178cm
Jarrad Moore- 178cm

Sam Mitchell- 179cm

Honestlty im sick of people posting about Tarrant. Is he honestly that good??. He's done nothing in 3 years and yeah I know he's been injured the whole time, but tough luck and maybe his body is not cut out for AFL. He is no value whatsoever on our list. He has been dissapointing thus far. He is just about in the same mould as Jesse Smith. I don't think he will play many games this season. If his name was Robbie Williams or Robbie Smith he probably would have been delisted by now, but we have this obsession that because he is Chris Tarrant's brother and he has muscly biceps he is going to be a gun. Anyway if he's anything like his brother as a footballer he wont last long, but I am defenetely not getting over excited about Tarrant and will go on record saying he wont even be on our list in 2013 and im sick of hearing banter about him, because it's getting boring. I just want to see if he can actually play a game of football. Doubt it,,,,,,,

He has been on the list 2 years for starters. Why would he have been delisted after 2 years just because of injuries? Heaps of players have been kept on lists longer than Robbie. Urch, Trotter and Blake Grima were kept on for at least 3 years.

He is no value? Is that because we have truckloads of KP forwards coming out of our arse?

By the way his older brother has played 220 games, sounds like he has lasted a far while in my book, so if Robbie is like his brother we have a 10 year player on the list.

Coach: So much to like about B Scott, by 2013 he should be hitting his strides

With excitement or fear?
Oh, sorry that's hitting!
Presume it's not a typo.

Re the OP, R. O’Keefe should be N. O’ Keefe and I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I reckon he will be a very important part of our forward line rotation by 2013. The kid is coming from a long way back, is still quite skinny but has a nice muscle base to build on now. Football wise the kid is a natural. He leads well and at the right times, is quick and nimble on his feet and has sticky fingers. Add to that I believe he is also a good decision maker with ball in hand and has the skills to execute those decisions well. He has all the attributes to be a dangerous forward and I hope we can help him fulfil his potential.

2013 KPF’s: Drew – Tarrant – O’Keefe – Black – Hale

Plenty of potential in that group. Some work for the coaches and fitness guys though.
