Which others do you like? De Goey is another I quite like but I reckon he might go higher than that despite not getting much chatter on BF.
Thoughts on Clem Smith sliding too our second round pick ala Lewis Taylor last year as that quick small bloke who clubs don't like taking early on? Seems to be the sort of type we are lacking. Alternatively Johansen from the third round on as a similar small line-breaker?

I'm not a big fan of Smith tbh. I like what I've seen of Johansen but I wouldn't get my hopes up. We don't like taking really small guys

Really liking the look of Kyle Langford, will take time to bulk up but looks good

Doesn't necessarily mean he gets 30 touches but he's the type of player who will get 18 and change a game.

I'm going to repeat myself again, but this draft is fully stacked from 20 to 50 with very good talent.

The smart thing to do is to trade INTO the draft not out of it with the likes of Crozier etc.

People are calling for trading first round picks for Rory Sloan. He's a great player I agree but there is a few guys who do remind me of him that we could snap up with a second and maybe third round pick.

Then after pick 50 I'm sure, positive a Sydney player who is not getting a gig could be had.

That's the way I'd play it anyway.

Who would you trade and what for?

Vickery for second rounder

Deledio for top 10 pick if we could.

I'd say Batchelor will be walking the showroom for the rest of the year. Griff more likely to be traded than not. Griff might get us a second-rounder, Batch a third. Not a lot more we'd be willing to give up that would get us much.

Know much about this guy Tigs?

Sean McLaren (VIC – KPD/Ruck)
Height: 197cm, Weight: 92kg, DOB: 10/01/1996
Recruited from: Sandringham Dragons
Style:
Player comparison:
Range: 20-60
Profile: McLaren in the past has played as a ruckman but has this year made the transition to key defender and is playing very well down back. He’s an effective stopper at his height and size and a stopper first at his height but then also has shown at times shown that he can be an effective rebounder with his ability to read the flight down back and know when to come off his man and take the intercept mark at times impressive. Not a complete product but has scope to develop down back.

vickery - get us back into the mid first round
conca - early-mid first round
batch - swap 3rd round picks with gws/ st kilda
griff - dogs/ saints 3rd rounder

retain our first round pick. not on the table.
retire/delist/trade: king, newman, helbig, griff, vickery, conca, batch

Not Conca?! He was a pick 6!!

Ok what I would trade and what I would want would be dependant on the market and what others would give up.

If Griffiths didn't want to sign our contract offer I would sell him for a second round pick. If he doesn't want to be here, and has better deals on the table, the way he has been treated I'd understand. So someone like a Fremantle or Brisbane I would target their second rounders. That would be the scope of the range I would want.

Vickery if Griffiths goes I'd be reluctant to give up. If Griffiths stays then I'd want to sell for again a second round pick. I know some on the outside believe he's only worth a third but some good clubs will believe their development could get him to where his potential lies. I'm sure Geelong would be willing to give us something of interest with Vardy injury woes. As I said to you I am analyzing Jackson Thurlow and think he's exactly what we need.

Jake Batchelor could be used for a pick upgrade. Batch and a third for a second. Or Batch and a fourth for a third. Depending on market demands.

Considering we will have three picks inside 45 already, getting another two or three inside there would be ideal.

Again, as we have discussed, I'd try and shake the Sydney Swans tree and see what falls for cheap. Towers, Robinson and Biggs in particular. A later pick for these types, say two for one draft pick would be fantastic and get us some good young talent.

There's so many ways we can get improved talent on our list. I hope we don't get desperate and make bad short sighted decisions.

There's also no point.

Good attitude. I've seen bigger named and talents traded out from clubs.

For instance they may really rate Vickery and feel they lack his type and they are his type away from a flag. They know their development is better than Richmonds and like Ottens they believe they can make him reach his talent. McIntosh getting on and Vardy never healthy they know having him as a second forward behind Hawkins and second ruck behind Simpson could be the difference and all they have to give up is a half back flanker who has played 4 games.

But no point asking.....

I've always felt he'd make a good KPD. Sounds like he's making a good fist of it.

Griffo surely will demand a late first round or second round pick. Still relatively young and still has development. It's rare to see a player of his size to have a 60m kick and has shown that he can mark the football and is relatively good at ground level.
I don't know why people want to trade Deledio, he's already signed a contract that will make him a tiger until he's 30, and if we trade him we'll be in a bigger hole. Once he was injured and wasn't in the team, our team had no ball movement at all. That shows we have little to no real run and carry depth. We need a guy like Pickett who could be a potential Deledio star.
I understand that we should start trading into the draft, but to trade one of the trio?
