Coming round to the idea of using 12 on the Cocky. With his build and speed he could easily become our version of Dangerfield.

Surprised Cordy is so high when its clear clubs rated him a 4th round prospect or they would have bid earlier.
I think people are getting a little hyped up about cocky at pick 12. It's a fair reach, not that i think there is a lot between the group from about 12-30. Better trying to get picks 19 and 21 off GWS for pick 12 and nabbing Cocky there with another player if we really want him. Probably a strong chance he gets to 30 odd though.

A bubbly character off-field, the ‘baby-faced assassin’ is another draft prospect that is gifted in terms of poise, hurt-factor and game-winning attributes. Duggan won the Ben Mitchell medal for this year’s AFL-AIS intake, and has an arsenal of weaponry that far exceeds most in this year’s draft crop. Playing in an array of positions, Duggan offers get-up-and-go from half back, is particularly dangerous around the stoppages and loves to run and carry with his line-breaking speed. The talented left footer has also shown he’s dangerous and effective around goal, kicking three final-quarter goals against the Northern Knights earlier in the year off just four disposals in a come-from-behind win. Duggan’s penetrating kick is his primary asset, but his ability to read the ball well in the air – along with both good vision and speed – suggests his best position will eventually be situated in defence. Despite his slim build, Duggan can win his own ball and tackles strongly. Dan Richardson said we would be using the draft tom bolster our midfield depth so I seriously doubt we will take a hbfer with our second pick. Especially if we take Duggan with our first who is essentially another flanker who can run through the middle. You would think it could be something like:

Yep I'd take him at 12 I see him fitting in very nicely in the midfield rotations but I expect us to take a safer option with our first pick unfortunately

Just stating the truth.
It's pretty clear that Duggan is a Richmond style pick. He really impressed recruiters in the interviews, which suggests he's a good character.

Im really hoping that we trade down our 1st pick this year, Cant see much difference between the players that will be available at #12 to #25

Not so sure. The names always look good but rarely turn out outside the top 15 or so. Rather stick with 12 where we should be Able to nab a player who is at least up to the standard.

Cockatoo should be number one pick according to most. Unbelievable the rise he has behind him now. I'm astounded people are saying he's a good fit for us at 12.
Second round, yep good level for him.
Would we have to chuck in 33 for the bullies?? 12 for 3 picks in the 20's is hard to judge the value.
Would you trade down Bob? 12 to 19 and 21 or the dogs 3 picks?
Probably. 12 nets us a goodie but it's pretty even and to get two picks or even three would be ideal.

Ahern or Ellis and Blakely. Yep I'd probably do it.
I don't think Ahern makes 12 or Weller for that matter. Think its more likely to be Duggan or De Goey vs Blakely and Ellis (or Garlett ect..)

I would for 19 & 21 for same reasons as Bob. I wouldn't do one with the Dogs though. That's getting too low.
