Last year.... No Buddy playing decoy for Roughy & Gunstan = no Premiership
Buddy cops a lot but to play a sacrificial role for your team on the biggest stage would have to be one of the best things you can do as a footy player.

hawthorns midfield dominated for more than 3/4 qtrs of football IMO
I know. I was just alluding to the fact that they kicked to it Buddy all game in 2012 & still lost despite him kicking 3.4 & having 25 touches.

Yet last year, Buddy (1.1) played as a decoy & allowed Gunstan (4.1) & Roughead (2.3) out of a score of 11.11.77........ Thats 7.5 from their forward line (which won it for them IMO)

I'm one of the 50% that love him (as a neutral supporter). It baffles me up here in Sydney that when they got him via FA, they were all worried about how selfish a player he was/is.... FFS he's one of the most unselfish marquee players in the history of the game IMO

Dont get me wrong, he does love the challenge to win a game off his own boot (what key forward doesnt?!?!?), but this hides the fact that he really is one of the great team players when it comes down to self-sacrifice for the good of the occasion/moment

I'm a big Buddy fan as well. I don't understand how you couldn't appreciate talent like that. Isn't it why we watch the game?

But anyway back on topic, I think it's almost impossible for a forward line to play well if the midfield isn't dominating because that means it's not getting down there. I'd be taking the better midfield all day.

For the all the people who wanted us to take a shot at Taylor grace (19 year old) he didn't receive an invite to the draft camp.

Gotta say I'm pretty bemused about that. Has had a very very good year and won the B&F last year. Recruiters must see some real deficiencies.

Poor man's Spencer White.

Lachie Weller sliding in Knightmare's draft, I know it's early days but still, if this happens, I would be very happy. Do want with 2nd round pick.

*insert awesome mark and goal in Queensland-SA game video for reminder* :D

You add on the silly Frawley compo pick and our pick 21 will get pushed back. Which would make it a little harder for Lachie to fall unless Mav has been telling him to tank his interviews with every club except St Kilda. :p

if we could turn 21 somehow into 18 i think we'll just be inside enough to get a very very good slider. just get the feeling 21 is just that tiny little bit too far back

Love the performances Duggan has been putting out for the Jets. Going fairly unnoticed by BF but I can't see the recruiters ignoring it. Has got so many great attributes on and off the field and is putting runs on the board too. Would love for him to get to our second as some are speculating but I can't see it happening.

looks a lock for top 10?

I'd say he's still more likely to go somewhere in the teens but it wouldn't surprise me if a club with a late top ten pick snapped him up. His leadership is rated really highly and he's one of the safer picks in the draft. Has no strong weaknesses, can be very confident he'll be a 150 plus game player.
