What he's on now is irrelevant, it's what he's leaving for that the compo is based on.

Yeah, I was just suggesting that we don't have the choice to match any offer*. He can just go. I don't think the reported 1.2 million over three years would be a 2nd round pick but we can only hope it is. Of course, if we pick up a free agent it is a mute point really.

Could be good for a straight swap with Sumner.

I'm not necessarily bothered about players of the calibre of goldsack etc leaving the club, however it creates a bad perception.

We want to be a destination club for quality players.

If Beam does leave, god forbid, we will be in total rebuild mode. Would want a juddesque deal to get it done too (pick 4 and Aish/Taylor/or involve another club). Don't believe it at this stage though

Yeah that rumour is like the Sam Reid to us rumour. It crops up every year because supposedly there are go home & sibling factors, but comes to nothing in the end.
