You seem to take this particular issue very personally

LOL. :p:thumbsu:

Geez you would think the media hounded Kurt while he was here. In fact I am sure that in 2012 all the love was around Tex and Danger to be honest.

I hardly even remember when Kurt was in the media before he decided to leave us.

I agree. Not sure the balance was reached on this occasion.
I think the message left clearly shows what is not acceptable so has value for that reason. It's not something is actually abusive or offensive - its just a troll. Helps remove any greyness for others who may want to make a similar remark.

There was actual abuse in what I deleted - and once something is dealt with we will always come down hard on people chipping in, esp if abusive. It's done, just move on.

If that's not clear or you want to discuss - drop me a PM.

I'm not sure how my posts show me as taking it any more personally than anyone else's posts, but I'm just trying to be sensible here.

I don't think Kurt minds the international media publishing a photo of him that will be forgotten by the next edition of the papers. He just didn't like having his performance/merit constantly critiqued every single day on radio, and being expected to front up to interviews and so forth on a weekly basis. And I don't blame him for that. It'd be an enormous pain in the ass to deal with.

And, now that he's in Sydney, it doesn't happen anymore. It's pretty silly to pretend that a photo with an actress makes that untrue.

what makes your posts seem to me like youre taking it personally is that every time its brought up youre the first and often only poster defending the 'left because teh media' line. of course i support healthy debate but im just surprised to see how much youre defending this particular point, in a way i dont see you defending other points.

It may have to do who is posting the comments as opposed to the post itself.

Agree 100% with you.:thumbsu:

Thats BS - Kurt didnt leave because of the media, he left of the giant offer made to him. To think anything else, is to be blindingly misguided.

If anything I think he has been more in the spotlight than he has been when he was here, truth be told.

didnt look too bad, he was walking around happily at the end of the game with no ice or strapping

True, the only positive is that he has had very little game time and preparation for R1.

I think a Cats player may have been reported as well.

Would that be for R1 I assume ????
i was wondering this too. from memory if you get suspended during the preseason comp the suspension doesnt include preseason games, so if he gets reported and suspended for 2 matches i believe he can play the next challenge match but will miss rounds 1 and 2. i could be wrong though, it has happend once before ;)

It was a bad hit, he deserves to get a game for it at least.

according to scott in press conf selwood felt a little cramp/tightness, could have played on but didnt want to risk it.

Selwood being a bit under the cloud just adds a little bit more of a chance of us beating the Cats in R1.

I will say this, I admired Port in the finals last year, beat the Pies, when no one picked them and led the Cats at HT in W2. Impressive. Its that kind of fearless attitude our Club needs to adopt.

Any team, any place any time. For once Ross, I agree with your line of thinking.:thumbsu:

Probably just confirmation bias, mate. I defend or put forward points of view on all different topics, you probably just noticed this one once and now you keep seeing it.

I forget who said it but i agree that cats are a big chance to be the major sliders this year. I think we'll beat them.

Agreed. I think they have taken too much of a hit losing experience coupled with injuries and Selwood being underdone, it would make a massive statement to beat the Cats at Geelong.

Would have loved to have BC for this game. I like our chances in R1, FFS it may be a trial game, but the Dees did push the Cats a bit.
