Did Beams do his ACL?

Anyone else notice the connection? In 2010 we had a shocking run with injury, now in 2014 Collingwood have the same - Rendall??

Can you sue someone from actions of your own doing? That seems a little rough to be honest.

It does look rough, but that's at the heart of many legal cases nowadays.

You could argue Egan was happy to proceed with treatment and then when it went pear-shaped he decided to sue.

Supposedly the player will always want to play (or so says sando) but does the club have a duty of care to say to the player "enough is enough, time for a rest". There were stages where Porp was so injured he couldn't even protect himself.

For all we know, the club might have been trying to rest Dangerfield for three months, but Danger keeps fronting up himself.

Scharenberg done his ACL and needs a knee reconstruction. Cruel, cruel game :(

I just heard that Port Magpies won't exist soon. Apparently they will be Power too? The rumor is that the SANFL clubs have already voted and approved this. A mate said he knows someone at Norwood who passed this on to him. Mate is a Power fan.

How do the SANFL clubs have a say in how Port, or Crows, brand their reserves?

Isn't this out of their hands now that the licenses have been transferred?

Also, wasn't one of the stipulations for the Crows that the reserves team cannot be called "Crows"?

Their pettiness knows no bounds.

As much as I dont like the idea, even being a Magpie loather, it probably makes sense. The zone is gone, the juniors are gone who were the last real link to the Magpie brand. The reality is both AFL clubs are now in the SANFL, not the other way around. However it is a bit petty, who cares what they are called as far as im concerned. If it does happen will they wear a teal strip ??

Also, is there any hope of us being able to sell our jumper next year ?? I quite like it and would buy one.

Petty? Depends what 'one club' port actually wanted. I couldn't care less whether they are the magpies or the Power. Does the club itself want to be the magpies or the Power? Wouldn't it be better for marketing if they were the power? - in which case supporters should be rejoicing. Who the hell can work out what they want anymore?

It has nothing to do with what Port wants though. Surely you can see that? The other SANFL clubs see it as weakening Port, that is their only motive. I'm sure you don't give a **** and are probably on the side of whatever it takes to weaken Port, but Port itself have made the choice to be the Magpies in the SANFL as a branding strength, so lets not pretend that the SANFL are doing us a favour to get out of our mythical "identity crisis".

A branding strength? You have to be joking right? How many Power memberships, how many magpie memberships? Wouldn't it be a good idea to cash in on the Power? Never mind, you stick with the whole-world-is-against-us bullshit. Question for you. Are the power and the magpies 'one port' or not?

If you want be one port then ****ingwell be one port. Jeeezus. What the hell do you power/magpies supporters want?

The rationale was the "One Club".

We'll see how it pans out. If it amounts to nothing I can pay out a Power fan at work being FOS.

The SANFL clubs have a say in who plays in their competition and under what conditions. Seems, if the rumour is true, a condition next year is that the Power Reserves wear the Power colours in their league.

Why do the SANFL insist that the Crows not wear the Crows guernsey? Their consistency is breathtaking.

I suppose you can look at it this way, us SANFL campaigners dont want AFL in the our comp, Port dont want whats about to be thrown at them, its a lose/ lose. Why should anyone get to win

Ergo, pettiness.

I'm guessing it's so they can't have an advantage with branding/marketing. Wouldn't port want that advantage by being 'the Power' in the SANFL? and if it is an advantage wouldn't the club have requested it? Did the club request it? I don't know. Do you know? and how on earth does a SANFL vote 'to allow' Port magpies to be called 'the Power', weaken Port as a club?

The club wants to remain as the Magpies, that's all I know. I also know that if Port wants it, it's the SANFL's duty to oppose it.

Personally I'd think any decision to make the Maggies brand up as the Power and don the tri-colour V would be strange given that the Crows SANFL side were warned off the hoops. Sounds like a crap rumour made up by some Norwood bloke on the eve of finals.

The next step would be the Crows squealing baout wearing their AFL guernsey in the SANFL to match what Port had and then every "NO AFL in the SANFL" numpty is up in arms about it further being AFL'd. The current set up at least pretends to be something it isn't.

Could say the same to you for being in a comp you dont belong to.

Well you could say the same to me but it wouldn't make any sense.

Are you suggesting Port and Crows are playing their reserves teams in the SANFL to be petty?

If they make us drop the Magpies name, I'd bet they'd veto this because "it's too close to another clubs guernsey"
