This year I'm going for Freo or Richmond.

I had Freo locked in for the GF up until 3/4 time yesterday. They looked unstoppable. Port overran them though.

Eight day break played at home versus six day break and the longest road trip in the comp. Means nothing.

The AFL really are a joke sometimes.

Appalling that they allow a team to design a clash strip so inadequate that a home team has to wear their away jumper twice this year.

That's just ludicrous. Every other team is forced to adopt a clash, according to the AFC (whether true or not) we're even forced to wear a white one instead of yellow. Can't risk hurting the tigers feelings though. VFL still alive and well.

Port should have every right to wear black, and Richmond should be told "You've got 5 days to come up with a guernsey that doesn't clash."

Carlton and Richmond wear this below in a final last year and it's fine..
Yet Port can't wear their normal home jumper?
Just put white shorts on Richmond and make them wear the clash jumper which has the fatter yellow sash, the yellow stands out anyway..

Keith Thomas is fuming and will be taking the issue further with the AFL, I wonder if we would do that?

Even though I don't like the crows, If you guys were forced to wear the "murder of crows" away jumper in a home final vs a Vic team.

There is no such things as 'home' team anymore bar where you play. How many times have Geelong worn white shorts this year at home. The AFL this year have just scheduled the greatest contrast as possible between the 2 teams.

I am waiting for the day we wear our all white against Essendon at home. It's coming.

Was on the Richmond board and apparently at the start of the year there was a fan vote on what their away jumper should be and the Yellow jumper with the black sash won. But obviously it ended up being one of the VFL jumpers.

That's their VFL jumper..
They don't/won't want to wear that in the AFL because they want to wear their traditional black with the yellow sash jumper..
So they fatten the sash by a couple of centimetres and call it a clash jumper..

Some may call it trivial in the bigger picture of playing the game, but I think this will fire Port up a lot more now..
They have a solidarity type thing in their group or club at the moment anyway, they'll soak this up and breathe fire on Sunday..

I don't like your mob one bit either, but this situation is just crap. The home team should never have to accomodate a visiting team just because their kit clashes with the home team's, and especially not in a final where you've rightfully earnt that privilege.

This is going to creep in for all games at all times. AFL pretty much dictating who will wear what game by game.

You might be right mate but will be interesting to see the shit fight between Collingwood and the AFL

Gil needs to identify all the areas of inconsistency and make all rules apply the same way to all clubs and the clash jumpers would be a good place to start

I can understand to a degree why people didn't want us to wear the state guernsey anyway, everyone thought we shouldn't wear it - not just Port.. Was a different situation..
No ones giving support to them.. The clash jumper situation is a joke, it's nothing to do with who it is..
We will be done over by it one day as well, everyone needs to make noise so they change it and make these clubs create proper clash jumpers..
