Some decent players went undrafted and a few talks we could use:

Tyler Keitel
Matt Hammelmann

Ruck Options:

Kovacavic
Sam Tagliabue

Who are some other potential rookie gems?

Shocked Keitel wasn't drafted, would be absolutely stoked if we landed him with a rookie pick. Either way talls is the obvious way we need to go and I feel its a pretty good strategy overall.
+1 on that, was talked about as a potential number 39 pick for us in a few phantoms so to get him as a rookie would be great

Don't see it in keitel. But what would I know, I've only seen him twice on tv.
I'd really like eddy, a ruck (since ayce may be cut next year) and obviously a kpd.

Yeah I wanted him at 39, thought we'd have to take him at 27 if we wanted him TBH. Strange he slipped straight through as he doesn't seem to have any major issues that would obviously hold him back at AFL level. Shows what we know I guess :p

I'm with you on Keitel, just don't see it at all. Every time I watch him, he's just so... blah. Doesn't impress me.

Unless we pick him. Then he's a superstar.

I'd be very happy if we rookied Bampton.

I want Brett Eddy badly. Peter Bampton would also be a decent pickup for us - I rated him top 30. I'd also like a ruckman, but I'm pretty uninspired by the ones that are left to tell the truth. Also like Michael Hartley as a backup key defender, and Zac Ballard for some midfield depth.

I like Keitel, but a few people that I listen pretty closely to don't think much of him.

I've been strong on Mitch Jensen if we were to look to Footscray, but perhaps not so much now that we've recruited a few players in his height range.

What do people think of Hammelman and Tagliabue?

I've ebbed and flowed on Hammelmann and I'm just not sure what to think, really. I reckon he's a little bit soft but I've only seen bits and pieces. Tagliabue is underwhelming for mine and was taken to school by our ruck depth in the VFL (Campbell with 59 hitouts and Cordy with 13 against a lone hand in Tagliabue for 30). That said, I wouldn't be adverse to drafting either with a rookie selection.

Didn't Hartley go to Freo?

It seems we aren't exactly spoilt for choice when it comes to key position/ruck depth this year.

I have some confidence in our talls, just no faith in our depth (or lack thereof). I hope we can add to it, or we'll be in serious trouble if a couple of players go down - as we saw in Rounds 5-6 this year when Roughead and Morris were injured.

I take the easy way out when quizzed on our key position prospects - I just think it's too early to tell on a lot of them. I'd certainly like to add some support but not at the expense of quality.
