2014 Rookie Draft Thread

Anyone else fancy re-drafting Matt Panos? It'd be good to wind up the rest of the competition by snatching yet another highly rated tall, classy midfielder; we can't get enough of those.

I've wanted us to redraft Panos for a while a now. Not quick, but big bodied and with an amazing kick.

There was a rumour started by some people that we requested an interview and he told us to get stuffed. Hopefully it's all a load of rubbish.

It's a rookie draft I guess any 18 year old is worth a punt as not a great percentage make it off the list , I would be taking kietel ham and Payne and seeing what they have at the next level

I hardly keep up with the mature guys maybe we do get one.

I think he'll pick two. A forward and a defender plus a mature bodied mid as back up for any Injuries. Time will tell us though.

Explain how they are gap fillers? a U18 player may or may not even reach the level of talent that a mature age KPP could offer and we've all heard it a 1000 times now, KPPs take longer

I wanted us to really draft Bailey Dale, but only after I saw his highlights a few weeks ago

I've come onto a few later this year. Evans is one and is still available I hope we have a serious look if he is at our second or third rookie selection looks like a ready made player just needs to work on a few little things.

Heard a rumour that Beasley's son wanted to move back to footy from rowing a year or so ago. Did that ever happen and is there a chance he might be picked up as a late rookie? He should have the fitness and the size if he's coming from Rowing.

Doing a Preseason with Footscray we will see how he goes
