Gold Coast apply to delist Josh Glenn at 0% of salary for walking away from the game when he is likely to have been offered another contract:

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...ton-becomes-third-suns-player-to-retire-early
"Amazingly, Boston is the third Suns player this year to have retired citing a lack of desire to play in the AFL. Back in April, Timmy Sumner was released from his deal with the club to allow him to return to his hometown Adelaide. The Suns also delisted rookie Josh Glenn last week, saying he no longer wished to pursue an AFL career.

Lachie Henderson - Goalkicker/Stopper

Henderson has proven himself as both a goalkicking forward and a negating defender throughout his career to date, which has resulted in his reputation as a 'swingman'. When used as a forward at Carlton he's averaged just over a goal a game, and has kicked a few bags (see 2014 season for example). When used down back he has been assigned as the centre half back for the team against the opposition's key forward (alongside Jamieson). His flexibility is something that Chris Scott has flagged as being a primary reason why Henderson will be used both up forward and down back at Geelong (http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-ne...son-relishes-fresh-stage-20151020-gkdvpo.html)

Gold Coast apply to delist Ricky Petterd at 0%

Numerous sites state that Petterd and Richmond staff did everything they could to get him right to play indicating he'd have a contract if he didn't retire...
http://www.krockfootball.com.au/petterd-calls-time/
"The docs and the physios were doing everything right to get it there, but it’s just not going as quick as we thought."
Other quotes indicating he chose to call it a day despite Richmond wanting him to go again:
"I had pondered it for a while now, even before the foot injury,” Petterd said."
"At the start of the year I was thinking whether it was going to be my last year or not."
“It hasn’t healed as well as we thought it was going to. I ran for the first time on the weekend, and it pulled up pretty ginger again, so that was kind of the last straw for me."

If it is deemed that retiring due to his injury is not eligible for the 0% I apply for the 50% rule for retiring due to injury instead

Apply for Brandon Matera to be considered a goalkicker. Pulled his finger out in the second half of 2015 to average over 2 scoring shots a game. In 2014 he averaged almost 3 throughout the season.

Apply for

Alan Toovey to be Stopper. This guy regularly picks up the oppositions best small/medium forward. NEVER leaves the back half.

Patrick McCartin to Goalkicker, Played forward every game he played this season. Is destined to play a key forward role for the Saints next season and beyond.

Gippsland

Apply for Dawson Simpson to be tapper - Averages 21.7 per AFL Game. Now has 28 AFL games under his belt

Apply for Dylan Grimes to be stopper - only averaged 10.8 possessions in 2015, and played regularly on goal kickers including Rioli, Bruce, McCarthy and Walters.

Apply for Shaun Hampston to be tapper - Only played 4 AFL games in 2015 but averaged 23 hitouts, and has 94 games at AFL level so is established at the level

Nathan Vardy - Tapper/Goalkicker

Vardy has played as both a number one and two ruckman as well as a centre half forward and resting forward for all of his career to date, depending on the team need at the point in time. He has shown that when played as a ruck he can average between 15-20 hitouts a game, and when played as a centre half forward he has shown an ability to play the support role to Hawkins and average a respectable goal a game.

Stat-wise, he is comparable or arguably better placed (slightly over 1 goal a game in 2 most recent played seasons, overall roughly 1 goal and over 10 hitouts a game over his career) than Levi Casboult (averages roughly 1 goal and under 10 hitouts a game over this career) and Charlie Dixon (under 1.5 goals and just over 5 hitouts a game over his career), who are both registered Tapper/Goalkickers.

Apply for Sam Reid to be a goalkicker/stopper. He spends about half his time up forward. Kick goals in nine games in 2015, multiple in five.

Apply for Robbie Tarrant as a stopper. Blossomed this last season as a key defender for North - this was taken from an article: "Tarrant, 26, has conceded only 11 goals in nine games in his first season as a full-time defender, including restricting star spearheads Tom Hawkins, Kurt Tippett and Travis Cloke to only one major each. Teammates Scott Thompson (26) and Michael Firrito (23) have also played on some of the opposition’s most dangerous players and conceded more goals. Tarrant ranks above average for intercepts (6.3), disposals (16) and metres gained (235m) for a key defender this season, according to Champion Data." (http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...t/news-story/90948d5f54e1bf76651932e3433b6735)

Apply for Ben Reid as a stopper/goalkicker. Has reputation as a swingman. All-Australian CHB who shares responsibility for stopping the best key forwards with Nathan Brown (Goldsack/Toovey take medium types). Has also shown form as a proven goalkicker when needed up forward (25 goals in 2013, including some big bags of 4 and 5). Should be moved back down this season to support Brown with Moore/Cloke up forward, but has flexibility.

Apply for Josh Walker as a goalkicker. Averages over a goal a game over the last 2 seasons and should be a focal point more at Brisbane now.

Ill ask here rather than offseason thread as well, 1 example from my list, jack watts is a forward, however isnt on the list there as a goalkicker, is he meant to be? Also are these players Key position players? I'm trying to figure this out. Like Cooney plays mid and forward so would i be allowed to play him on HFF?

GST players are about list makeup, not what position you can pick players in.

Players are GST players if they automatically qualify (i.e. were on the original list), or where someone has applied for them to get that status and that has been approved (i.e. in the approved list in post 1). If a player doesn't meet one of those criteria, then he's not a GST player (yet).

This is a joke, looking at some of the approved to the denied. How do we get answers. 1 guys opinion?
There is a loose guide on the rules page:

We've had a few issues this year with key spots not being filled by KPPs. While I may have missed a few that were caused by dodgy selections, in most cases it's been because that team didn't have any of that sort of player available, so I'm thinking of adding some rules about list makeup along the lines of:
3 regular AFL forwards - qualification 5 games in 2015 with average 2 scoring shots per game (62 players qualify)
3 regular AFL defenders - qualification 5 games in 2015 with average 4 one percenters per game (62 players qualify)
2 regular AFL ruckmen - qualification 5 games in 2015 with average 5 hitouts per game (44 players qualify)
And you could apply for others to qualify based on injury, a bad year, or time spent playing some other position hurting the average and/or game count

You already have Sam Rowe as a stopper (defender) so need two more according to this.

Baguley, Wood, And Batchelor Stoppers but no to Enright, Butler and Murphy??? Give me a spell

Batchelor is clearly a stopper. Agree with the other 2 though. But the 3 you mentioned after aren't stoppers either.

It says in the rules you can make a case for any player. Why don't you give evidence to Russian as to why these players should/shouldn't be stoppers and he may change it
