Only 30% of NZ's 6s go the 82 m required to cross the rope at the MCG.

My Aussie team of the past 20 years would look like:
Gilchrist
Hayden
Ponting
Steve Waugh
Michael Hussey
Mark Waugh
Symonds
Bevan
Warne
Brett Lee
McGrath
12th man Martyn
He's in the discussion, but I'm happy with Dizzy in my side.Speaking of best aussie odi side past 20 years, Andy Bichel 3rd seamer/number 9 anyone?
Was just repeating what Robert Craddock was saying. I'm sure we'll see plenty of 6s.what about the 64 metre straight boundaries ?
Who bowls? If it's players in their prime/over career I would go
Gilchrist
Hayden
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Bevan
Symonds
Starc
Harris
Warne
Mgrath

Who's your tip : NZ or Aus ?
Forgetting Brutt Lee?
I agree and I was suprised Bichels bowling stats were so mediocre when I looked him up. Remeber him being much better that they suggest. He's in the discussion, but I'm happy with Dizzy in my side.
Bichel's batting a huge bonus, but when you have the guys we already have - just pick the best bowler!
Bracken one of the best ODI bowlers in my memory. Starc as well. McGrath, Johnson. All 4 would walk into any side in the world's best bowling line up of the World Cup era.I agree and I was suprised Bichels bowling stats were so mediocre when I looked him up. In that case I'd go for Bracken as 3rd seamer.
Very true. Starc I'd leave until he's performed over a long period of time. With Johnson I feel Lee is similar as a strike bowler, whilst Bracken would bring some variation and be able to dry it up when needed. McGrath, Lee, Warne and Bracken as an attack covers all the bases.Bracken one of the best ODI bowlers in my memory. Starc as well. McGrath, Johnson. O'Donnell and Jones have not played a single ODI in the past 20 years.Where's Simon O'Donnell in these best team of the past 20 year teams? Great death bat/bowler.
And Mark Waugh is the most overrated player in the history of Australian cricket. Give me Dean Jones anyday.

Do people realise that 20 years ago is 1995, not 1985?
Everyone Australian world cup winning team has had a batsman from Launceston in it.
Does Faulkner count or should be bring in Bailey to be sure?
...
heres my Kiwi side for the last 20 years too
Astle
McCullum
Williamson
Crowe
Taylor
Fleming
Cairns
Vetorri
Southee
Boult
Bond

Crowe retired exactly 20 years ago and finished his career pretty much on one leg anwyay so not sure he should really qualify for this team?
Scotty Styris would probably have to slot in at 6 instead (moving Taylor & Flem up a slot), which says much about how poor we have been the last 20 years
It's either him or Guptill, who would jump straight in if he gets another double on Sunday!
Would take big Jacob Oram over Styris. Haven't looked at the stats but god he could strike a ball and seemed to do it pretty regularly against a very strong Australian attack.
