I'm starting to really take notice of Brad Crouch after he'd been mentioned here a few weeks back. Gun player. Might be a little expensive to start with though.

If funds permit I'm thinking Ablett, Pendles, Fyfe, Heppell & Crouch could be my premo mids.

Pendles has been down this last couple of weeks.
Perhaps next year will be the year to not start him, and Gaz o_O
Supercoach rule #1, you always start with Ablett.

Would love to be able to start 2015 with Gaz, Pendles, Rocky and Fyfe! Would take up around 1/4 of the total salary cap and would make the bargain picks like Kreuzer, Rich and Leuenberger so much more enticing...
Also the prospect of K. Jack and NDS being DPP is amazing. Instant LOCKS.
Any chance for Deledio to snag Mid/Fwd status?

Delidio more likely to snag a SPUD/PADDOCK DPP listing

as a fwd he would be kinda interesting tho
Kreuzer Locked in

Jack Steven and Ryan Griffen interesting
Fyfe = 100 locked in
Scharenberg locked
Freeman locked

if TBC was given the arse then i'd be locking in Ryder as well

Could be the year to go a cheap midfield.

Steven, Montagna and Griffen all great value. I reckon I will go with a midfield of...

Ablett, Pendles, O'Meara, Steven, Montagna, Griffen, rookie, rookie.

No Fyfe or Rockliff?????

Hmmm, it would probably be better to have one of those. Wouldn't start with both though.

Unknown DPP changes will make a lot of difference to any predictions and potential starting prices could be affected by scores in the last 4 rounds, but as it stands now these are the players I'll be looking closely at.

Dangerfield: Seems to have been playing hurt all season and after a preseason to get right he should be back to his best and great value priced at a 107 point average.
Beams: As good as he's been I expected more from him. Capable of averaging in the 130s and is showing signs of getting back to that form. Priced at an average of 118 he's sure to be value.
Naitanui: Has nearly always scored very well with Cox out and now that Cox is gone he should dominate. Could be the top scoring ruckman. He'll improve his 88 average by the end of the season but will still be incredibly cheap.
Sam Mitchell: If he doesn't lose his defender status he'll be value too with his average being dragged down by his low score when injured.
Jack Steven: Injury wrecked year that has dragged his average way down to just 82. St Kilda's best mid now and after a preseason to get right he'll be a must have.
Kreuzer: One of the best rucks in the game but another whose season has been ruined by injury and if he gets right for next year his average of 69 will see him extra cheap.

Others of interest are Tom Mitchell(76) if he moves clubs and Leuenberger (59) if he regains #1 ruck position from Martin.

As for the young guns, B.Crouch, OMeara and Wines could go to a new level but most will be highly priced and a risky punt. The one who appeals most to be considering price/potential is Lachie Whitfield, but I doubt I'll risk any of them.

Others who will be great value based on past form are Swan, Montagna, JJKennedy, Wingard and Petrie, but I suspect Swan's body will continue to let him down, Montagna will continue to struggle in a weak and evolving St Kilda team and the other three just can't be relied upon.

I heard something on the radio the other week that Carlton were desperate to get Tom Mitchell for next year but were shocked to find out that he's currently on 600k a year at the Swans. Has a lot of potential, but don't think any team would come close to even matching that kind of money for him at this stage of his career. Absurd that there is a club that is able to pay a 18 game player that kind of money, within the AFL rules.:drunk:

He's not on 600k lol.
He's definitely over $500k. Gerard Healy was talking about it recently on 'the couch'. COLA allowed them to pay overs.

AFAIK he's on $400k + the 9.8% bonus.
