yeah, but here i am...
just got to make each trade count!
There isn't much difference between 20,000 odd and 7,000 right now. Someone in one of my leagues is ranked around about there and I'm less than 200 points behind. All it takes is a good round or a good couple of rounds and you're back up there. Good luck.:thumbsu:

  • Rookies over $200K are never a great option and limit cash earning potential, Sheed and Cripps are big regrets
  • Should have paid attention to the change in ruck scoring and considered some slightly cheaper options (buyers remorse on Minson, happy w Goldstein though)
  • Switched Oxley to Brown just before R1, and have just burned a trade reversing the decision. Brown could not be more irrelevant to SC
  • Regretting Belchambers in FWD line so far, needs to improve on his 71avg
  • Touk Miller... omg spud

I feel like I let myself get talked out of starting nvb too easy. He has averaged around 75 most years while tagging. This year Adelaide came out and said he won't tag. That didn't mean he would definitely average more, but there wasn't a lot to suggest it would be much less. Instead I went with Cripps, who realistically I was expecting/hoping for an average of about 80 anyway. While NVB might bomb out and Cripps could still end up averaging 80ish I just feel like I shouldn't have dismissed NVB so quickly

Nathan Jones as captain vs GWS. Assumed he'd scored 82 pre-multiplier, just saw that already included C bonus. This resulted in the Nathan Theorem:

Nathan Jones was a bad C choice.
Nathans Krakouer and Freeman are not yet in the mix for selection.
Nathan Brown in the starting line-up with Oxley stranded on the bench was not the right call.

∴ I must resist all temptation to trade in Nathan Van Berlo. It would only end in tears.
Add Nathan Buckley ruining COLLINGWOOD.

Nvb is the 4th most traded in player this week and has a breakeven of -59. Plus, from memory wasn't Dom Tyson over 200k last year? I don't think you can put a line through 200k players on principle
Also, I wouldn't regret the Miller selection. Think he averaged 70 during the nab and was given the early tick of approval from the coach as a round 1 starter. From all observed evidence at the time, he was an obvious choice

Dayne ******* Beams.

Shouldn't be in this thread (atleast not yet). Decent 108 in Round 1 followed by one of the worst game's he's played for years in a team that got absolutely flogged, managed to scrape together 73SC. He'll be fine once Brisbane start winning, hopefully starting this week. I still think he'll be a top 8 midfielder come seasons end. Will not be surprised at all to see him rip out a 140+ score this week against Richmond. Thinking Brisbane will come out breathing fire

I didn't want to go there, am still hopeful it will come together for him and us... also heard on 3AW that Nathan Jones might have been playing despite illness, would make more sense as he's normally so reliable.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, you choose Cripps for a reason, back yourself, you cant pick them all.

And Cripps showed a lot more in the pre season than NVB.

Both NVB and Smith showed SFA in the preseason, because of that I took both out of my initial team. Adelaide w***ers the both of them.

Exactly the same as me, I ended up with Cripps and Shaw instead, could be worse, but could have been better.

Went Hibberd for Smith and Miller for NVB, was always going to go Cripps. The extra cash kinda helped I guess, still raging though.

Yeah I already had Miller, not happy with that one either. At least he is playing for now, could find some form in time to make some cash.

He looked decent in the pre-season, scored 70+ in each of his games, doesn't help him as a rookie that his team are getting smashed.

Thats true, but lets be honest even vested players can average better than 32.5. Not sure what is TOG% has been, but unless it is under 50% 32.5 is not acceptable.

Not getting Daniel Rich and buying the hype around Brett Goodes.:mad:
