I'd laugh a lot if Freeman gets done early for our next two 3rd rounders or something not involving a 2nd. That'd leave a lot of Dons fans with a big hole in their idea that 5 for Carlisle and Freeman is a good deal.

That seems like a fair trade to me, should push for a 4th rounder or something from the Pies as well in case Bailey Rice nominates us and we need to make up the points.

I couldn't care less if they did in the grand scheme of things, as long as we get Carlsile, a top 10 pick and Freeman. I just want the deal done, it's not about screwing Essendon, it's about getting Carlisle.

Crameri is a much better comparison to anyone that has a memory that goes further back than 12 months

That was a 4 year deal worth nearly $2 million for an OOC player and that got the injectors pick 26

Bulldogs kept 4 and turned it into Bontempelli

Moral to the story: we either keep 5 or trade it in a deal weighted in our favour

Then Essendon can just take what they are given

Why do we care what another club ends up with? Luke Ball and Paddy Ryder have absolutely nothing to do with anything we are trying to achieve. If we trade 5 to Suns or Giants it will because it's the best thing for our club.
The only thing that matters is we are happy with our trade and draft period. People need to have more faith in Ameet.

I'm really impressed with Daniel Rioli's combine results..

* came equal second in the 20-metre sprint (recording a time of 2.89 seconds)
* won the 30-metre repeat sprints with a score of 24.15 seconds
* placed in the top-10 for the vertical jump and clean hands test
* ran to level 14.6 in the beep test.

on a side note:

Darcy Parish tested but wasn't a standout in any event.
Charlie Curnow ran 14.5 in the beep test and won his group's three-kilometre time trial too
Darcy Tucker ran 15.3 in the beep test
