So what is best for a 39 year old who hasn't been to the gym for 2 years and has a few extra kg's around the middle? No pre-workout at all? Protein powders worth it after?

Go to as many HIIT classes as you can and yeah drink shitloads of beer I mean water

Oh, and as I've been discovering since shaking off a bunch of weight: beware the beers. Four-five pints and I'm a disaster nowadays.

Turns out "beer belly" isn't just a clever name.

Finally i've got this forum operating the way i want it to.

Who's going to start a thread on HIIT vs steady state cardio? Also, who wants a personalized meal plan?

Is this even a question? If you want results you need to prioritise intensity, not sure how steady state is going to give you that.

Strong argument for steady state in the mornings on an empty stomach.

Personally i think it's absolute trash. HIIT 4 life. Repeat sprints.

Who has been on the Fox Sports live draft feed?

Apparently science says you will use existing glycogen stores first.
I've done both ways.

And lost the same amount both times.

Granted the 2nd loss was after a dirty 8 week bulk and the muscle just did all the work on this cut :D

Even stronger argument to force yourself to eat something before working out.

Can't say I've ever had the delicious problem of having to force myself to eat. Ever.

Aussies lel :drunk:

Must take Glutamine, mix with Protein shake.
Helps with the next day hurts.
