Saw the stats posted from the reddit quote, but I looked through the games briefly and it didn't look like too many upsets and split fairly evenly between teams coming off the bye hitting and not hitting the line. I assume you would need more than one year to determine whether it's a trend or just normal variance?
North losing to Gold Coast by 55 and the Swans losing to Richmond at the SCG were a couple of the more noteworthy ones.

I can tell you definitely that the Swans have struggled after the bye in recent years, often losing when faves (except for smashing Geelong but they had come off 3 consecutive 6 day breaks).

Think I got shut down last year in this forum though by folks saying it was just a myth :D Probably won't be putting my money on results being effected but 50/50 games such as Freo / Pies might help sway me in the tipping.

All over North at the line

+19.5 is getting ridiculous
so this makes the +23.5 line on b365 off the scales? It's there if you want it.

Also like North to kick 11-12 behinds at $140+ odds and 13+ behinds at $201 for each half. Slippery conditions, chance of key players back (if not they've shown kicking terribly isn't an issue regardless last week with 11 behinds in the first half), plus adelaide have allowed 11+ behinds against twice this year (Port and Geelong) so think they're both worth a nibble!
tailed this. & i looked into this some more, North have hit the "7-8 behinds in a half band" 8/26 times this year (the equal most for north, equal with the "5-6 behinds" band) Thats nearly a 1in3 chance to hit the SB odds set at $12 and $11. It seems like reasonable value, put 0.5u on '7-8 behinds' for each half.

Place a Head to Head bet on Thursday night’s Adelaide vs North Melbourne game and if your team scores 100 points or more but lose, money back up to $50 (on-line account bets only).

LOL.

$40 for Sloane/Thomas 30disposals/3goals is way overs!
Only going to out a little bit on as its raining and Rory has only hit 30 touches twice this year but he is in form and hit 29 last week

2U North over 7.5 goals @$1.88
I know it's gonna be wet but the lowest haul North have had all year is 9 goals. 7.5 is only 2 a qtr

Pretty sure Lensen has stats to suggest that since byes came back its a myth

Looks like the predicted rain has eased off.no way near the amount coming now
checking the radar, the rain is moving east, doesn't seem like there's any more following after the current band.
