Cheers mate, that's what a few people are telling me.

There's a few variables I don't know of. There are prizes for 2nd and 3rd also, so not sure what % of the pool the winner gets. The pool was $1500 last year, will it be as big this year?

And what if he doesn't win??

I'm extremely bullish about the West Coast leg...
Kennedy has averaged 10 votes a season the last three seasons. Shuey averages 7. Gaff averages 8. Priddis is the obvious threat to all of this.

I have him polling in games he kicked 8, 5, 7, 5, 5, 4, 7, 5 and 5.

If he doesn't win you lose the money - if you're not comfortable with that just take the 50% and run

Cheers. Never been in a calcutta before and having the raging favourite seems like a good opportunity to buy him at 50%, the risk seems to be the chance he doesn't win it or not being able to make much money as no one will be bidding very high for the other players.

Mid year I chucked a $30 multi on josh Kennedy for Coleman, Dangerfield for brownlow and sydney to win the flag. Paying $1968 for the win.

Sports bet is currently offering me $976 cash out.

My plan is for Dangerfield to win tonight and then to hedge about $500 on the dogs.

Does this seems like a good idea?

But yes that seems like a decent plan to me. I'm sure there will be money back promos for the H2H bet on the Dogs so make sure to use those up first

Let Dangerfield ride for sure and then if you want to lay off the Swans there should be number of promo offers around for the GF where you could double dip

You could hedge some of the margin into the Bulldogs at the line, in which case it is possible for you to win both bets....


What I'd do

$468 budget to play with.

$200 on dogs H2H - payout ~$490
$268 on dogs at the line 11.5 points- payout ~$515

Outcomes

Sydney win by 12+ points $1,500 (Profit $1,002)
Sydney win by <11 points $2,973 ($2,475)
Bulldogs win $1,005 ($507)

Plus on the H2H the promo offers as mentioned by others will increase your profit margin slightly.

Just my 2 cents.
 
Never betted on the BM most votes for the teams markets without the likes of Danger,Sloane etc.Got a heap of multis with small staked multis with a lot of different combos.

The same halving of payout happens in horse racing
 
Say I buy Danger for $600, I then get $300 back by being his original owner.

Then at that point I have $300 at risk.

Let's say the winner gets 50% of the pool (don't know yet what % the winner gets but 50% seems fair), straight away the $300 I put into the pool I'll get $150 of that back.

Then I would win 50% of what else is in the pool. So I will need the rest of the players to be bought for $150 in total to break even, based on buying him for $600 and winner getting 50% of the pool (which is what I'm guessing).
