Can anyone confirm or have sources to the new guys at the bottom?

I don't know if every draftee in the ND got the standard 2 year deal...

Did see an article recently (sorry can't remember where) that stated that the ND is a standard 2 year contract and rookies can be contracted for 1 year (which explains the recent early releases).

He might have been asking if they got more than the standard first 2 years which sometimes happen.

Spurr ain't leaving.

Actually think Neale and Langdon aside we have little to worry about. Clarke was re-signed for a year because he wasn't playing good footy. Will re-sign if it's obvious he'll be best 22 in 2017 but if we do stupid stuff like play Hannath ahead of him (don't care how bad Clarkes attitude/form is he's still much much better) then maybe he leaves.

Clark has found love with a WA girl apparently. Keeps them here every time. The trouble begins with interstate girlfriends who want to go home.

Rumours that Brady homesick might be going with Neale ;)
Where does this rumour come from? I know some of Brady's mates quite well and from all accounts he is quite settled and happy over here!!

James Clementitus is the correct diagnosis for it

With RTB on a new longer term contract and Freo's strong history of player loyalty it would be a left field event if any required talent left any time within the next few years imo. Neale to play his career out at Freo.

I agree. They are just the only two I can see getting real interest from other clubs that we'd actually miss. Spurr is an exception but I just can't see him leaving. Sandilands may retire, there's those I've just mentioned and everyone else may actually come down to the club's decision which will depend on where we finish, who re-signs, who improves etc etc. I can't see us being in a rush to sign Mzungu, C.Pearce or De Boer if a few of the new guys start cracking the best 22. Mayne, D.Pearce and Barlow will probably be here next year but if they have a really poor season watch out.

I thought Clementitus was when the coach was being difficult and wouldn't let you pursue a work/life balance outside footy?

Jeff Whites Disease then? Chris Tarrantitus?

Who else has left us for being homesick from memory? Warnock? We tried to get the trade done for Roberton but that was more for him wanting to have a family with his missus back home.

AFL Collective Bargaining Agreement 2015-16 refers...Section 22.5 First Year Player (a).
22.5
First Year Player
(a)
When a first year Player is first drafted by an AFL Club, that Player and the AFL
Club shall enter into a Standard Playing Contract for a minimum term of two years
except in the case of a Player who has previously been drafted as a Rookie or
where the Player is over 23 years of age by 31 December in the year in which he is
selected by a Club.
