It all gets down to M. Michael didn't play and wasn't in the best or goalkickers on the day and was not on the selected team on Monday. Not hard to check. Scribe I hope all is well at Coburg.

Maybe but is also gets down to clubs not having the courtesy to provide information to the scribe and people on here taking unfair pot shots at a young bloke volunteering to contribute something for your division.

Despite all the other competing demands he is prepared to have a crack and should not be subject to some of the personal attacks posted here. The tight timeframes and a VAFA website in meltdown made this job particularly difficult.

Bedford has been a tireless worker for his club over a long period and has probably earned the right to at least have his opinions valued but not so sure about the other bloke. Ironic that accompanying his profile is a picture of a clown.

Someone reported to be about the size of Mal Michael seen entering the ground about 5 minutes ago.
Just awaiting an offical tweet. At this stage, 23 on the Team Sheet.

He was in the selected team on Monday.
What do you do go through every team, the teams don't have to be in on the Web till 10am Monday. The opposition get the team sheet well before the game in most cases. What I think Bedford is saying is that he didn't play but was pumped up for how well he played. To put my 2 bobs worth in, how can you play for a club in this division and then comment on others. Anyhow I don't post much but you are a complete goose

Complete goose for defending the guy unfairly criticised for a fairly insignificant error? Jeez all you guys need let it go. How many times does it have to be explained as to how it happened? Sure, you're entitled to not agree with a D1 player writing for the D1 section but if that's the case and it means that much, go to the vafa. As a poster above pointed out, don't read it.

Anyway can we bring the convo back to footy?
Kew and Ormond had good wins, Mentone in somewhat of an upset in a close game, old Geelong got the job done against Friars and what the hell happened between BT and SMS? Anyone at the game care to share? May even make it into the scribes piece this week ;)

The better side won at Bulleen Templestowe today. That is all

Bigfooty tipping and match predictions aside - one of the BT players was very surprised to be told by a St Mary's player this week that "we won't be touched all year".

Footy has a funny way of biting teams that get ahead of themselves on the ass. BT may well be in for a tough year but will make all clubs earn any win. d1 is always tight. Look at Prahran sitting on zero wins with a % of 93.

What's the word re Nobs?

Personally, and I would like to gloat a bit here. I'm am delighted by Bulleen Templestowe's result today. SMS have been very successful to date. I'll leave it at that for now.

Great to see you still have the fire and passion Ugly. Good luck to your mob for the rest of the season mate.

Chump.

Did anyone actually get a glimpse of what happened over at bulleen? Were St Marys woefully under par or did bulleen show fight they hadnt brought to the table in their first few games? If wet weather played a part? Analysis of that game could expose a severe weakness in the SMS side. Cherbakof slotting NINE could indicate a lack of key backmen

On another note, sounds like an absolute thriller occurred by the looks of it in the Old Mentone v Prahran clash

Must remember SMS had around 10 regular A graders out. That's basically half a team of reserves. Once the full team is back we will see how they go.

Nup telling it how it is. Take it or leave it mate. If the hawks were missing 10 I doubt they would win either. This is sport not a Tom Waterhouse bet shop.

I'll leave it then. Many a team has run out on the ground missing half their best 22 and still won.

In my opinion, your comment demonstrates a lack of respect to Bulleen Templestowe.

The bulleen result is not that surprising. They have always been very competitive in conditions such as yesterday. Even though I'm not totally across their squad, they have always flourished in slow conditions due to their bulk & size. I suspect they challenged SMS physically in tight. From what I can glean SMS like the ball on the outside & in space. Injuries will always be a factor at any club, you can only play against the 22 that run out. Big game next week between Ormond & SMS. I will watch the outcome with interest.

The only saving grace for Yarra valley is that they've played 3 genuine finals contenders in their first 3 weeks. They will beat a couple of sides but will struggle to stay up I suspect.
At least they have a decent bloke at the helm
